If you have some time to kill, and like word games like Scrabble or boggle (especialy Boggle,) you’ll probably like this:

I love word games, but most of them take a second player, and JJ doesn’t play them well. (It’s no fun for either of you when one of you always wins.) So instead I play Bookworm. It’s lots of fun!

Is the holiday stress over for you, SPark?

I don’t do holiday stress. Never have, and I hope I never shall. I tend to shop way in advance, make things way in advance, and not make a big deal about the day itself. My presents all mailed out over the last two weeks, and have all gotten to their intended destinations by now.

I prefer a small, fun, relaxed celebration to a big event. Heck, this year I didn’t even get a tree, though I do intend to next year.

I’ll drink some egg nog, and help bake a pie for the next day on Christmas eve, and phone home to my mother. I’ll open presents in the morning, and then I’ll be going over to the boyfriend’s parents’s place for a Christmas dinner, after which I’ll probably take a nap!

And I’m taking the weekend off of working, so I’ve nothing but time to kill. That’s how holidays should be!

That’s a prime example of taking it easy! Sounds like fun. I got all my gifts 3-4 weeks in advance and decorated the Friday after Thanksgiving. I’d never pass up the decorating. That’s fun, not stress.
So far Christmas Eve for me has been this forum and more work on Cerberus. It’s going good. 😀

Cerberus sounds really cool! I’m very much looking forward to seeing him when he’s done.

Thank you! He has turned out to be an unbelievable amount of work. Every feather needs at least two sessions, one for color and one for blending.
After seeing drag0n’s firebird, I got rather skeptical of poor Cerberus, but as Mom rightly pointed out, he’s a totally different style from the firebird. He’s not meant to be smooth and shiny like the firebird; the edges on his feathers are supposed to be rough. I’m trying now to walk a line between your beautiful elemental and drag0n’s firebird.
Also, it’s hard not to keep going when the little brother comes in every few hours to ooh and aah over the newest progress. 😀
Anyway, I’m trying to make Cerberus real enough that you can go over him with a magnifying glass without finding flaws. I should be able to post pics within the next few days. I hope my constant mention of the bugger doesn’t get on anybody’s nerves, but he’s really a big and important project for me. I’m beginning to regret I promised him to Nirvana! 😉

            That’s neat! I’ve bookmarked it.

 Yay! Just let me know when we’re going to do this! =P

Tomorrow I’ll do the last touch-ups, and then I’ll post a final picture and PM you about what covers my costs. Since these are my first two PYOs, I’ll leave any the amount you want to add to the – horrendous – cost-covering fee for my time to your good discretion.
