The other thing with immediate payment is that if you don’t pay immediately, the auction stays up, so someone else who *will* pay immediately can snatch it up if the initial ‘buyer’ doesn’t.
Yep, which was what I was afraid of. The seller got back to me immediately about paying on Friday, and I could have…argh! Oh well, we’ll battle it out I guess, with luck no one will be interested, but my luck hasn’t been going that well lately.

I learned to hard way before too!!Why would somebody bid higher than the BIN price, instead of just using BIN?
I do not know why but some have done that. I remember reading about itDecember 6, 2007 at 1:34 am #642722If you’re the only bidder, will the seller let you buy it for the BIN price, since they’ll wait til Friday for the payment? Doesn’t hurt to ask.

If it wasn’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all!!December 6, 2007 at 2:03 am #642724Kyrin wrote:Rusti wrote:The other thing with immediate payment is that if you don’t pay immediately, the auction stays up, so someone else who *will* pay immediately can snatch it up if the initial ‘buyer’ doesn’t.

I reckon you can attempt what Tintaglia suggested and ask the seller if they’ll sell to you for the initial BIN price.
It never hurts to ask!

True, and it’s one of my mottos, but I suspect the seller now thinks they have a diamond in the rough, but I’ll try.

December 6, 2007 at 2:19 am #642726can you tell us what it is after the auction ends??
December 6, 2007 at 3:35 am #642727The BIN doesn’t stay until someone bids higher than the BIN price. It disappears when someone places a bid. Any bid. Unless there’s a reserve price. Then the BIN disappears when the reserve price is met.

December 6, 2007 at 6:42 am #642729You never know. Good luck anyway, Kyrin.
December 6, 2007 at 8:50 pm #642730There have been a couple of times when I’ve contacted the seller about immediate payment. I can send payment but since I only do e-checks (no credit card), the auction won’t let me. But most people have been nice enough to change their listing for me…
December 7, 2007 at 3:05 am #642731Good Luck I hope you get it and at a good price
