😀 Hi Melody,
When will your large PYO dragon be available for purchase? Do you have any idea how much it will be?
If this question was asked before in the forum, I did not see it 🙁 sorry.
ThanksI don’t know when the Keeper will be ready.
We are actually a little unsure if it will be a pyo or a production piece at the moment… same goes for the large winged wolf.. if the dragon is production, I’ll probably do the large wolf as a pyo.
I would prefer to do them the other way around, but we’ll see. (Legal crap.)
We haven’t set prices yet.
The Muse and unicorn are next. I’m not supposed to post pics until we get the copyright filed on these two, and nobody has had time to get to that yet.. anyway I think they are being cast now. I’ll try to post pics this week.I’d much rather have the wolf as a production piece myself, I’d sure scrape up to by her.
May 6, 2007 at 6:48 pm #571110I really want the big dragon to be a PYO too!
I sure hope you can manage that, Melody. Cause I’m with others, I’ll cry.

May 6, 2007 at 6:50 pm #571111Dragon PYO!!!! Wolf production!! Now I’ll be on pins and needles til I find out for sure!!! Oh, please let us know soon!!
May 6, 2007 at 7:20 pm #571112I suppose I’m odd if I say that it really wouldn’t matter to me which one was which. As long as we get some new stuff!
May 6, 2007 at 11:12 pm #571113Oh! I was really hoping for the wolf to be production. I think it’d do much better this way, as you only have wolves in the ‘stone’ texture so far. Wolves are popular and sell well, I remember a big phone conversation with you and John about this sometime last year.
Ugh, I hope legal problems don’t keep the wolf from being production. I think it’d be wonderful to have a production wolf.Volunteer mod- I'm here to help! Email me for the best response: nambroth at gmail.com

Ugh, I hope legal problems don’t keep the wolf from being production. I think it’d be wonderful to have a production wolf. That was the same point I was going to make that wolves are VERY popular among people who don’t even know what Windstones are and they have only been in the “stone style” so a production one I bet would be a hot seller.
Plus I REALLY WANT the large PYO dragon!!!! If it was production, there are 2 things that would bug me. 1, it’s not to scale with the other dragons and 2, it may take away from the “rarity and pure WANTING” of the large keeper JUST INCASE is ever DOES go into production. Just my thoughts. 😀
Got a busted Windstone?

Especially with all the natural wolf colors to choose from for painting them!
May 7, 2007 at 12:07 am #571117I agree with Nam, Drag0n and Peg. I think production winged wolves would sell very well. There are a lot of mainstream wolf lovers that would buy a wolf where they wouldn’t buy a dragon or a griffin. And, as already pointed out, they would be different from anything Windstone has done before. Even if you can’t release the Keeper Dragon as a PYO, I would still recommend keeping the winged Wolf for production. Perhaps you could eventually sculpt another large PYO dragon in a different pose. Just my two cents…. 😉

there are legal problems associated with a piece? what kind? how can that be? its not even out yet!
May 7, 2007 at 12:33 am #571119Perhaps the legal issues are due to it’s resemblence to the SK.

the winged wolf resembls the sk? i dont think windstone would have a problem if one of their pieces resembled their own pieces. 😆
May 7, 2007 at 12:42 am #571121No…I think I confused you. The Keeper Dragon PYO, resembles the SK. I’m not sure if that would be a reason not to release the dragon in PYO or not. I’m just guessing 😉

I agree with this as well. I’d love to see the wolf production even if the keeper dragon doesn’t become a PYO.
May 7, 2007 at 1:05 am #571123I really do hope the Keeper becomes a PYO!! all of those wonderful different scales and texture on him are perfect for creating all new different colored patterns.( I have dreams of painting one already)
I definitely would by him as a production piece…but it would be hard not to resist the urge of doing a repaint on him.
I am crossing my fingers for the PYO. squeeksqueek
