What Windstone piece have you been trying to get but keeps getting away? Just curious about how difficult some pieces are to get. For example the gothic unicorn, black grand unicorn and peacock hatching kinglette. These seem harder to find for some reason. :scratch: maybe there were less of them made. 🙂
Just to add before I started collecting Windstone (I was 16 years old) I saw all three of these in a local store that has now gone out of business. I remember thinking to myself Those are pretty but who would spend that much on an ornament. XD (I dont even want to know how much I have spent already)
One piece that eluded me for a long time was an emerald old warrior…of course now that I have one they come up all the time 😛 The black unicorn family was a bit more rare also when i first started collecting and it seemed like they always got too pricey on ebay for me but i eventully got my set. The black grand unicorn is a very special ebay piece, I’ve never seen one come up for sale since i’ve been collecting and even if one did it would go for over 1000 im sure, if not much higher, so it would be out of my legue…but i’d love to have one. Hmmm other than that the larger white dragons are some what scarce, larger brown dragons seem very scarce, ruby old warriors don’t come up too often. It seems like emeralds and peacocks are fairly common( This is all just my observation, and i’ve only been collecting about two years) It seems like more and more rare pieces are coming up though as people are having harder times with the economy.

Ruby OW, I got one now, but it took me a couple years to get it too. I either couldn’t afford it from the store, or I’d miss them in sales. Now, every time a Stone Cottage candlelamp comes up for sale, I don’t have the money, but if I have the money they are never there! And that has been 2 years or more too. 🙄

I really wanted one of those black grand unicorns that were auctioned.. got outbid at the last second on every single one..
later a guy was selling one.. apparently he had gotten two of them off ebay.. I emailed him back and forth about the price.. and he seemed cool making arrangements to pay him and all that.. suddenly he stopped answering and a few weeks later the black grand was on ebay with a reserve that no one reached even when it was bid up to $3500..
that was so annoying in so many different ways..and I still want one.. but not that much.. LOL
I promised myself I’d move mountains to try to snag the Autumn Leaf SK if she ever got put on E-Bay, but she hasn’t been. That’s my one “wishful thinking” piece. Aside from her, I was able to snag just about every piece I was looking for after one or two tries.
Well, for the longest time it was the Flion, but I finally got one! Now I’d have to say it’s the brown bengal Cat’s Cradle. I’ve been sniped at the last second every time I bid on one. 😆
For me? Three,White Secret Keeper and a sculpt painted by Olimpia and one by Jennifer 🙂 it doesn’t really matter which sculpt 8)

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.Right now I’m not able to catch a special painted cat’s cradle or cat candlelamp in either siamese or tabby. I really want the cat candlelamps in one of each of those colors, so they match my boys.
The only one I can think of off the top of my head right now is the 1st 23kt Gold Leaf Hatching Empress that eluded me a few years ago.
I got #2 and #3 but I wanted the whole trio. The 2 I have miss their sister
I’m sure there are more but that is the only one that comes to mind right now.
WELL any retired pieces that I really did connect with but could sell for a MINT now would be nice tooPeacock Lap and Hatching Emperor for me. Seen a few pass by on e-bay but they are never mint with tag and box. Wouldn’t mind a Peacock Secret Keeper either if one ever pops up for a resonable price.
