i was thinking i have made 3 fall jewels and finale found the color placement i like but what about the other seasons? I really haven’t thought about trying to convert the colors into matching the other seasons. it won’t be the easiest thing to do but not impossible. what do you guys think? plus there are only keepers so every new test paint will be done on something pretty big.
January 9, 2011 at 7:11 pm #835305I say do Winter! I bet you could do wintery colors in that same design and it would look awesome.

Not only seasons, but maybe elements as well <3 I loved that fire and ice scheme you had. It was called… something or other glacier? Wah! I suck with names, but I'm sure you know the one. π

thats interesting, a few color schems can come out of blackened lava. it all depends on what region your going for like hawaii they have green olvine crystals that get exposed during eruptions. the the colors all depend on what type metals and minerals are present in the lava while it’s cooling and also if it has silica/quartz in it π i’m going to have to start digging through some of my books πJanuary 10, 2011 at 3:57 am #835310YAY! I’ll start saving! π LOL!

And on the subject of elements I think it would be really neat if you could figure out how to do a color scheme based on water and earth.
