Once Melody picks a name, I’m sure we’ll figure out how to shorten it. 😉

But EmPea works how would you abbreviate the others?
They don’t abbreviate them on the boxes or order sheets- that’s all that really matters!
Melody,
I like Crimson Flare. SOLAR FLARE!
Sorry, my DBZ days coming back to haunt me. >_>

My art: featherdust.comJune 30, 2007 at 2:24 am #593163I thought about Solar Flare, but I wasn’t sure how much yellow would be mixed in with the red. 😉

😆 I <3 you, Nam. You make me laugh.
And I like CF too.June 30, 2007 at 3:10 am #593165Nambroth wrote:Melody,

Kamehaaaaamehaaaaaa Crimson Flare dragon! 😆
June 30, 2007 at 1:55 pm #593166I like Crimson Flare too. That sounds cool.
June 30, 2007 at 1:59 pm #593167I thought that would make both you and Kreller happy 😀 Now, we just have to convince Melody. 😉
June 30, 2007 at 6:14 pm #593168As usual, I am clueless about this reference, but if it is the name of a character or something from another story/game, that possibly could be a problem…I had been working on a blue “Sapphire” dragon color scheme for years, then the movie came out with a blue dragon named Sapphira, (or something like that)… arrrgggghhh!
(refer to the fortune my Muse holds in my face now!)Maybe I will do it anyway, after all, the color is named after a real gem, and they really are blue…but I’m gonna wait awhile longer!
June 30, 2007 at 6:23 pm #593169Nam or somebody needs to help me out here, as I’m not a big Dragonball Z fan, but Solar Flare is a type of attack used in Dragonball Z.
Crimson Flare has nothing to do with Dragonball Z, so it should be safe to use as a color choice.
Is that right Nam??? Somebody?? 🙂

Neh, I don’t like “crimson”. It’s too hard to shorten. Anyway, isn’t crimson a dark red color? These are ruby red. I don’t think they are really “scarlet” either,* that is a more of a persimmon red.
*(could I use a semicolon here, or should I make two sentences?)June 30, 2007 at 6:25 pm #593171starbreeze wrote:Nam or somebody needs to help me out here, as I’m not a big Dragonball Z fan, but Solar Flare is a type of attack used in Dragonball Z.

You are correct.

Scarlet Flare? Sounds nice to me. I like “flare”!
I think you need something with ‘flare’ such as Kreller’s Scarlet Flare or use Emerald’s Crimson and call it Crimson Flare or Crimson Flame….would you like me to keep going? 😆Sure! Or I could go read my spam folder, that is always good for cool word associations… Am I the only one who loves spam?
June 30, 2007 at 7:48 pm #593173No no crimson flare has nothing to do with any existing character that I know of! A character had an attack called ‘solar flare’ but it’s a naturally occurring phenomenon!

*(could I use a semicolon here, or should I make two sentences?)Either one would work. 🙂 But not the comma.
Also, you should take out the first “a” in “that is a more of a persimmon red.” It sounds better as: “that is more of a persimmon red.”
English lessons, anyone? Get in line. 😆
Personally I think “scarlet” or “crimson” could both mean whatever shade of red you want them to.
June 30, 2007 at 11:18 pm #593175I agree and still like Scarlet
