The sparkle is ‘magic invisible paint’. 🙂
I think of this fledge as a her. I think it is up to the owner! Melody does often have a gender in mind when she sculpts but she also said it doesn’t matter much- what matters is what they are in the eyes of their owners! 🙂
I also think what matters is that the Windstones (no matter which ones) get LOVE from their ownersIt seems that people see the color purple (or any other “feminine” colors) and like to assume things a female… the fledge sculpt as a whole look masculine to me… and the shop calls them he’s. lol.

Agreed!!! I like it!!! Those colors seem to fit rather well! 😀
March 20, 2008 at 4:45 am #680708She is soo CUTE!! and so different from the usual PYO’s, which is a good thing! This one is SO spring and Easter and new life and joy! Good for you! I really like her!

I don’t see purple as a feminine color at all…
some people might consider the mroe pastel “lilac” colors as feminine…
but to me colors don’t really have a gender…not like that whole pink and blue thing everyone is so used to…
even though originally boys were wrapped in pink and girls in blue….but somehow that’s switched…
although I don’t like pink at all…but that’s because it annoys me…
and there was a study on that….pink can be a calming color…but after a certain amount of exposure…can lead to aggression…and violence….
hmm that might explain why ski likes it so much… 😯 😆 😆
March 20, 2008 at 5:06 am #680710Aww, I think he’s adorable!
March 20, 2008 at 7:00 am #680711That’s definitely my favorite fledge yet, and I think the name Crocus fits her well. If that’s a coiled mama you’re painting Nam, I’m going to try for it.

I don’t see purple has a feminine color at all either… but there are some people that do.
And yeah… yellow leads to violence XD
March 20, 2008 at 12:55 pm #680713That fledgie is adorable. I love the colors and how they go together. Beautiful as always Jennifer.
March 20, 2008 at 1:04 pm #680714That fledgie is very unique! I am not sure I like the feet or not, but when you look at it all together, it ties in nicely with the nose. I def love the main colors.
March 20, 2008 at 1:14 pm #680715You all can have the coiled mother…I’d like to see that fledgie on my shelf!! Ohhhh purple and green!!!! Jen, that has gotta to be my favorite already! 😯

It is, I’m attempting to paint her with the same color scheme as the Labradorite Griffins. It is a trial, her scales are all so tiny and very, very smooth.

March 20, 2008 at 5:24 pm #680718I want to know what the “Glimpse of the FFUUUTTTUUURREEE” part means??
Are you going to be doing production pieces for Windstone??March 20, 2008 at 5:31 pm #680719Dragon Master wrote:I want to know what the “Glimpse of the FFUUUTTTUUURREEE” part means??
Are you going to be doing production pieces for Windstone??It means I gave a sneak peek of my pieces that will be on eBay, in the future.
I can say with confidence that I will probably never be doing production pieces- those are airbrushed at the factory. I am 1. Not at the Factory and 2. Not too good with an airbrush. 🙂
I will most likely only ever do artist’s editions.
