Thanks Nam…I’ll check it out. 😀
November 19, 2007 at 3:55 am #629996Be careful with the satin and use it on days that arent humid because sometimes it will “fog”. I sometimes use a hairdryer to help drying the satin krylon when I use it. 🙂

😯 😯 😯 I remember something like that happening to me when I was younger. I was using a satin finish spray on ceramic and that is exactly what it did!
Thanks for the warning. Maybe I should stick to gloss then, even though I hate it. 🙁November 19, 2007 at 4:14 am #629998Nah, if you use a hairdryer to help you should be fine. Satin is great for certain color schemes. 😀

So what do you do? You spray it all then blow dry it? Or just small sections at a time?
November 19, 2007 at 5:34 am #630000I don’t know if this will fix the “fog” problem (I like the gloss… but I also have matte for before the final gloss coat… so no satin experience) but what about buying the paint on sealant?
Would that help at all or no? …or do they even make it in satin…November 19, 2007 at 4:53 pm #630001I just spray it and then turn it slowly while “blow drying” the dragon on high heat for about 2 minutes. It’s worked really well so far. Plus always make sure you shake your krylon really well before spraying. 🙂
November 19, 2007 at 6:25 pm #630002Yes- all of the spray on products that I’ve used can and will fog up if the humidity is high!! Beware. Only use in low humidity, or somewhere that you can control climate, such as a basement.

My art: featherdust.comNovember 19, 2007 at 7:12 pm #630003It gets super humid here in the summer so I just have a hairdryer as a basic tool in my workshop. 😀

Never..NEVER take me shopping with you guys! Scary!
December 6, 2007 at 11:21 pm #630007Nam told Arlla that her pigments were “a secret”. Didn’t say why they were a secret…
December 6, 2007 at 11:56 pm #630008The powdered pigments I use are a secret. The person that supplied them to me asked that I not reveal the source.
HOWEVER… I have used Pearl-Ex and they are nearly the same. I don’t know what colors to recommend to you as I’ve never used them all. You will need to get them and experiment. 🙂 Just remember that a tiny bit goes a long way, so until you are sure what colors to use, get the smallest size.
