Hi Jen,
So how did it come about you painting for Windstone?
John even told me that he had never met you… 😯January 7, 2008 at 5:49 pm #493865January 8, 2008 at 1:55 am #653002Blackdesertwind wrote:Hi Jen,

John even told me that he had never met you… 😯It’s kinda a long story! It started several years ago when Melody first posted her work in the online Fantasy Art Gallery, Elfwood. Amber (Vantid) and I were roommates in Texas at the time and we were excited to be able to talk to one of our heroine artists (Melody!). We shot the breeze with her a lot and talked about art and birds.
Amber then moved to California to work for them, but I could not at the time due to my job and family. I was working retail.
A year or so later, Melody started working on the PYO line and sent me some PYO griffin prototypes to play with. Somehow they decided after talking with me a lot to have me test the PYO line and write a tutorial so I could help those that might need help painting them. John and Melody must have felt I had some skill in painting them (for which I am so greatful!) and that’s how I started painting them for eBay and such. 🙂
I’ve never been to the Factory! I’d love to visit once they move to Oregon though. 🙂

January 8, 2008 at 7:54 pm #653014It must have been a dream come true for you be asked to join Windstone in painting some of the most beautiful pieces ever done!
Besides what you do for Windstone… do you do a lot of artwork involving birds? You just do such wonderful feather barring/detailing on your griffins. They have a perfectly natural appearance.
