August 9, 2007 at 4:38 pm #607174That’s just a production peacock fledge, who either was painted a little too ‘heavily’ with purple, or their photos are over saturated. He’s a bright fellow either way! Since these are all hand painted the paint jobs do vary a little. 🙂
He is retired as were all peacock dragons, and therefore a little harder to find, but he’s not overly rare.

My art: featherdust.comAugust 9, 2007 at 4:43 pm #607175Well, the colours seem off to me….It could very well be a repainted Peacock.
August 9, 2007 at 4:48 pm #607176They might seem off because that looks like a “bright” peacock. They are not as muted as the old peacock coloring with a lot of champane broze/gold. Quite a few laps have the bright coloring as well.
August 9, 2007 at 4:50 pm #607177Nah, I’d be willing to bet he’s quite real and not repainted. He just got airbrushed with a little too much purple. Check out koishii’s peacock fledge (the lovely photos are hers).

As you can see, the colors are the same intensity as hers except for the purple. We see this sort of thing all the time. Different people paint them all year long so some have variation to them. Someone just had a very purple sort of a day at the factory! 😆
He’d be great for someone who loves purple! He’s pretty intense.

My art: featherdust.comAugust 9, 2007 at 4:57 pm #607178Ah, I see…. I’m so used to the old peacocks. I think it’s that purple blaze on the face that throws me. I don’t think I like it. But, he is a pretty one.
August 9, 2007 at 5:10 pm #607179yes, this is true. it looks peacock to me but like mine, it has a lot of green and a lot of purple. this one here has more purple then mine but otherwise it looks very much like mine. At first I thought mine might have been a Em. pea. fledge because of the bright colors.
August 9, 2007 at 9:46 pm #607180Oh man, I want a bright Peacock SO BAD! Were there any Emporers like that?? Anyone willing to trade for my more subtle Peacock Emporer?? LOL
