We went to the fairy festival today at Spoutwood farm in Glenrock Pa. Its been two years since we could go since Danny was too sick so we really were looking forward to going. It was a beautiful day. They had singing and dancing and lots of things to look at and buy. I had Alyssa in a sling so I didn’t have to push the stroller around but I forgot her sun hat so I ended up having to go back to the car and get the stroller anyway so she wouldn’t get burned. We meet up with some friends and walked around all day. I was so happy to find they had a mothers tent for nursing moms. It was enclosed and had nice rocking chairs so you could sit and nurse and not have to worry about covering up baby. Alyssa hates to be covered while she is eating so I was beside myself with joy when we found it. I had so much fun and I’m so sunburned lol. I should have brought my sunscreen but I forgot. Oh well it was worth it.

Great pictures!! Glad you had a good time! You deserved it after what your parents put you through with your brother’s wedding.

I was totally bummed after my brothers rehersal dinner but the wedding itself was great. I need to post about it but I have to wait till I’m not one hand typing.

I’m so sunburned right now and my feet are killing me. Danny always gets mad when I kick my shoes off and walk around bare foot. πŸ˜†

I prefer barefoot myself, but we can’t do that outside much here, except on the beach, because of fire ants.

OMG fire ants! I’m so glad we don’t have those around here.

Be grateful. They have nasty dispositions and view EVERYTHING as a threat to their farms.

How fun!!!! Does Alyssa have wings, yet? That’s one of the things I love to fabricate in costuming. I think nearly all the girls (young and old) in my neighborhood have wings that I’ve made for them. My nieces (Shanda and Naomi) each have a pair with a 5-6 foot wing span….. 😯

Ooooo, lots of pix please! Glad you had warm weather and a great time. Somewhere around here in a packing box yet to be unpacked, I’ve got pix of another niece (Caitlin) in the wings I made for her. She was just about a month old at the time and her wings are only a hand span in width (about an octave reach on the piano) and are pink, sparkly and girly. If you’d like itty bitty wings for Alyssa, let me know…. *did I mention I LOVE to make wings? πŸ˜† *
