Star, those are great Halloween decorations!

In recent years we’ve only been passing out candy on Halloween. Our neighborhood has lots of kids, and we usually get ~60 people coming by. We haven’t been dressing up for the last few years…this picture is from the last time that we did:

I haven’t been doing pumpkin carving recently either, but a number of years ago I was really into it and did 5 each year. One year I even did a pumpkin for Thanksgiving! Here are some photos:

Some closeups of the last picture:

The turkey that I did one year:

And some pictures from this year’s local pumpkin festival that I wanted to share:

“Farmer Mike” is an amazing pumpkin carver and it was really neat to watch him carving. I thought that the glass pumpkins from Cohn/Stone Studios were really beautiful.

Those are some great pumkins! I love halloween, I don’t do much any more. My son is too old to trick or treat and there are no kids where I live. I usually decorate at work but haven’t even done that this year.

Some free Halloween games, if you have time to spare…

          Anybody have other Halloween links?

I love Halloween. My favorite of the year. But for the past few years I haven’t done anything for it. This year a couple of my friends told me that I have to do something this year, so we’ll see what happens XD
My friend Ryan asked me a couple days ago (while we were at a UFC match, lol) what I wanted to be for Halloween… I said “A Big Daddy” (KUDOS if anyone knows what that is!). It won’t happen though. I’d have to have something like that custom made and it would probably cost more than an entire family of Windstones. I don’t even have enough money for (if I actually wanted one) a curled dragon.

I haven’t carved pumpkins in years either. I’m might paint on one this year though.
Wow at all the pictures. I love seeing anything Halloween related. Those pumpkin photos are awesome, Mimi! You’ve got the skill down for sure.

One morning I turned the news on and somewhere not far from me, there was a billboard sign for a Halloween festival that was going to happen. They hung a dummy from the billboard XD It was all over the news, some people thought it was offensive and over the top. I thought it was neat. Don’t know if it had to be taken down.

The boys (my brothers) are too old for trick-or-treating now, alas. They’ll probably run off to some party or other and I’ll park at the door to give out candy with a live snake around my neck. Kenya is the family ball python with the patience of a saint. I used to take her to high school with me for the Future Farmers of America petting zoo, so I know she’ll be cool with the kids 8)

Hmm… there’s some new kids in the duplexes down the street. I wonder how many me and Kenya can scare this year 😈

My area is all condos, very few kids. I always end up over buying candy. Last year I told my bf that he had to take the left overs to work or I’d end up eating it all. 😈

The first photo is of me at the Senior Roller Skating Party last year. I originally bought this costume to take on a cruise at Halloween because I could lay the whole outfit flat but when my suitcase when thru the x-ray machine at the airport they held it because they couldn’t figure out what the eyes were. I had to let them open my suitcase and examine it. The second photo is of Tristen with my Halloween inflatable for the front yard. I have one of these for each of the holidays and the kids in my neighborhood just love them.

Thanks for the compliments on my decorations everyone!!! We usually get around 80 kids and a lot of them look forward to our yard. It looks so creepy at night…. πŸ˜†

Mimi, I love your pumpkins. They look very professional. I hope you do one this year. πŸ˜‰

I wonder what kind of pumpkins our garden produced this year. Usually we get a nice one and carve it up, just to have a bit of Halloween sitting on the front steps.

Take a pic for us, if you do it this year. πŸ™‚
