He needs to see the vet as soon as possible, I think. 🙁
June 26, 2007 at 5:32 pm #589854Yeah. Bring him in to the vet. Don’t wait. I’m so sorry that your doggy isn’t any better, Ski.
June 26, 2007 at 6:43 pm #589855Poor, poor dog. My friends dog was puking, but after 1-2 days it stopped. I hope yours gets better as well.
June 26, 2007 at 9:35 pm #589856I’m so sorry Rab is not any better. ***keeping you all in our thoughts***
July 3, 2007 at 4:56 pm #589857Well, Rab had degenerative hip displaysia. One of his joints is shaped like a mushroom head instead of a ball. What a bummer. $236 dollars later (That I had to borrow, which I hate 😕 ) I now know I have a lame dog, more Rimadyl, some more Glucosamine, and something else that I picked up from the vet. Must be contagious… anyone know what this is?

I do know its a rabbit, 😆 but it has a MANE! The long fur goes down its cheecks, too. Soooo cute. Her name is Princess Leah. Could not be “Leo” cuz it is a girl. So, “Leah” it is.. the “Princess” part is compliments of my son, who is under the impression that she is his. I also saw two car wrecks on the way home. One was about ten cars in front of me. I was stopped on the autobahn for a little bit. The other was a single car that came on the on ramp too fast, spun around, and hit the guardrail. I am sure I have no point… No, I do… Drive safe this holiday!!! 😆
July 3, 2007 at 4:59 pm #589858Ha!! Ha!!! You’re so silly!!!
Best wishes to Rab and Leah. 😀

July 3, 2007 at 5:10 pm #589860Ski, I’m so sorry to hear about your pooch!! Did the vet discuss asprin with you? My vet recommended we give our gal aspirin(non-enteric) once or twice a day in the winter if she seems slow to get around. She has arthritus in one of her back knees.
We didn’t have to give it to her this spring, but I’m sure we will come winter time.
Altho, maybe aspirin won’t help hip displaysia?
Anyway, I’m sorry for yah, it sucks when they get older!

July 3, 2007 at 5:20 pm #589862I’m sorry about Rab 😥 Hopefully, you can keep him pain free and have him around for a long time. Love the mop top bunny: -)
July 3, 2007 at 5:25 pm #589863Mop top! That is cute 😆 I put up a new topic to see if anyone knows what she is. Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I hope he does not get worse very fast. That is my main worry right now.
July 3, 2007 at 5:49 pm #589864I hope Rab stabilizes and stays the same for a long time. 🙂
That’s very cute bunny!
July 3, 2007 at 8:51 pm #589865My chow is 11 3/4 years old and has arthritis in his rear. In addition to Rimadyl my vet suggested giving him a 1000 mg fish oil capsule a day and it seems to help him. I don’t know if that would help hip displacia but you might try it. I hope he gets better I hate to see an animal in pain.
July 4, 2007 at 12:03 am #589866I’m sorry to hear Rab has hip dysplasia but at least it’s not cancer. If it’s really bad he could have surgery – either a total hip replacement or a FHO where they would cut off the head of the femur. Unfortunately both surgeries are pretty expensive (think SK). Just don’t combine aspirin and rimadyl, though.
Hope he does better!
July 4, 2007 at 2:46 am #589867Sorry to hear about Rab. Hopefully he’s as comfortable and pain free as possible.
<3 the bunny 🙂 My little sister's name is Leah. She'll get a kick out of knowing someone named their bunny that.
