I’ve never gotten a Christmas gift from an employer.
EXACTLY!
The employees that actually do the work and keep the company going get nothing but the big wigs get the million dollar bonuses then say they can’t afford to give raises the next yearDecember 21, 2008 at 10:53 pm #746655i used to get 3% of my yearly gross as a bonus from CAT , along with a 20 dollar Giant Food card. We also got a CAT pen with our names on it , and a box of Wakenfuss chocolates from the owner of the Maryland shop i was at .
When my old department boss was there we would have a departmental Xmas party …every one dreaded getting the secrete Santa from me , i always shopped at the adult toy store π . Poor Trish i got her every year but one π

Engaged to a WeaselDecember 21, 2008 at 11:47 pm #746657…And other office horror stories.
December 22, 2008 at 5:08 am #746658Actually, bf’s head boss in the Toronto office is great. Two years ago, the company said no bonuses for the office. So boss man said, “fine, give me my bonus”…then he gave it all to be split up for the employees. This is a man who knows how to treat his people right. And he was sooooo upset when he had to let those 12 people go, gave them great severance packages that he had to argue with head office for. Too bad the company itself is going to heck. π

December 22, 2008 at 7:54 pm #746661LMAO! I think DragonMistress has it right XD
I just started working at Papa Johns Pizza this past Thursday, and the manager made little Christmas bags for everyone, with a card, candy and a pen. I guess people she was closer to got small little gifts in addition. It was my first or second day and so I didn’t expect to get anything, but I was surprised!Maybe you can use the umbrella for snow too? Does that work?
December 22, 2008 at 9:09 pm #746662I’ve used my umbrella in the snow…but when it’s snowing and windy, it’s hard not knocking other people with it since everyone is walking with their heads down. π
