About 2 years ago I bought a peacock Hatching Empress. It was new and in box but had no hang tag. I have noticed not many of the ones sold on ebay have no tags either. I just bought another one from the same store but this one has a tag. Is the hang tag rare on the Hatching Empress?
My Peacock Hatching Empress has a hang tag but my Peacock Hatching Emperor does not and I bought both new at the same time several years ago.
That’s weird. I suppose we should ask when they started putting hangtags on. Maybe it wasn’t that long ago.

In short, one of the copyrights filed for the hang tags dates 2000. However there were hang tags before this.
So the official answer is:
They don’t know! 😆

That’s pretty funny! I remember once when I was a wide-eyed preteen gazing at the dragons in Wicks’n’Sticks I asked the shop lady why some of them had tags and some didn’t, and she said she didn’t know. She said thay were all brand new, but some came with tags and some just didn’t.
Thanks that helps a little. I was told they are less valuable with no tag but I guess that isn’t necessarily true.
