You guys have seen more of Alyssa then my parents have.
Or you could more far, far away!
I’m pretty sure you mean move??
January 28, 2008 at 2:19 am #659457You know, Idaho is a pretty nice place! You guys could move here! We’ll even help you get settled.
Course I know that moving would be very hard, but if you ever decide to, you know you have our full support.
I’d stop talking to them for awhile. Ignore them completely, if they really get bad, send an email stating that until they grow up, they aren’t welcome in your life. Then delete messages, ignore phone calls, and if they show up on the doorstep, don’t answer and if they get obnoxious, call the police. Make it very clear that you mean it.
Ideally, I’d move, either far away, or at least where they can’t find you. Then I would make all future visits, either at their place, or somewhere public, where your mother has to behave herself.
You don’t need this crap, and Alyssa doesn’t need to be around such emotionally manipulative and unstable people.
If you need to hear this in person, you know my number. *hugs to everyone at your end*

I was just going to say the same thing! Great minds think alike! Seriously, there are several homes for sale on my street. It’s a great little town; it’s the only place I know where everyone waves at you wether your driving or walking and smile and say hello…. Buhl (where Kyrin is) is a nice little place too, but Soda Springs is better π We have a geyser in town and gorgeous scenery! We’d love to have you as neighbors and there are lots and lots of “substitute grandparents” here. We’ve been here a little over a year and the grandparent population has spoiled my kids π ….

January 28, 2008 at 3:45 am #659461well that is what you said and driving in the SNOW is very tricky!!
January 28, 2008 at 3:50 am #659462Very true! Too much snow makes driving really interesting…. Right now the wind is blowing like crazy and it’s warm so things are slushy, but it’s supposed to freeze tonight which means we’ll have a nice ice glaze over everything come morning π but the positive side of that would be that Purpledoggy’s mum wouldn’t be able to get up the icy hills to barge in on the family! π π π

January 28, 2008 at 9:15 pm #659464My husband had a great idea to get the ‘rents back for wasting Laurie and Danny’s Sunday. Schedule another visit, then make damn sure they aren’t there when the ‘rents show up, go out to eat somewhere, or visit friends, but be gone for several hours.
See how they like it!
I still vote for moving though, with no forwarding address.

After all you have husband that just had serious surgery and a new born baby to adjust to I can’t believe people like that. Seriously you don’t need them giving you problems especially at a time like this.
