Use a blow to dryer to help speed up paint drying? It’s pouring buckets here and my darn paint won’t dry!! Will it hurt if I use a blow dryer on low heat?

should be fine…people do it all the time….just keep the setting low….and don’t put the dryer too close to the surface….

some blow dryiers have a button so that it blows cooler air. you want to use that. hot air is bad for drying paint because it can make it brittle and start to peel. you want your paint to dry but not go through an extreme temprature change so i would defnately put it on low or make sure the setting is for cool air, then it should be fine.

are you using retarder at all?

Yes a small amount of retarder. I used the low setting and a fan blowing cool air and it seems to be ok. It’s not hard dry yet, but dry enough to paint on without my paint pulling….Thanks!!
