Yep, I guess it is normal. Before I joined the forum, I actually HAD a substantial savings. Now, I barely make it through, paycheck to paycheck. π π Oh well, at least I’m enjoying it!!!!

I see you’re already at it! Haha, I’ve only seen a Peacock male in real life, so I’m sure I’ll fall in love with my Red Fire Scratching when he comes in.

Yes it’s perfectly normal
some of us have been a part of this for 20+ yearshow did you lose your collection, how many did you lose, and which ones??
Well, his collection was stolen from our house in Texas while we were away for a family emergency. Along with other miscellanous things. None hurt my husband so bad as losing the dragons. His sister who passed away had given them to him as a gift. I do not know the names of the different types(I’m still a Windstone n00b! π ), but I could tell you what they were if I saw them. He lost a total of 6 white dragons.
OMG. That just about makes me sick. I hope you can replace them. I’m sure it won’t be quite the same, but it’s still something to remember her by. Of course, if you find more to fall in love with…. πApril 16, 2010 at 5:22 am #810881if they where differenet sizes then maybe he had a family hatcher (the smaller one) and a hatching Emperor or Empress??
If he looked at them he would most likely knowGOOD LUCK the whites have been retired since 2004 and seem to be VERY difficult to find in MINT conditon especially the royal (larger) ones

I know they wont be the same ones, but you should be able to replace the whites eventually… esp here. We seem to thrive off buying new Windstones. I am sorry they got stolen. That is terrible.April 17, 2010 at 5:11 pm #810889TalonaCat wrote:But I find myself ADDICTED. I can see my wallet shrinking already, and I’ve been on these forums for less than an hour.
Welcome to the fold and sorry about your husband losing his collection. Around here, that could qualify for the death penalty!
You will not find help for your addiction as we are all enablers! So sit back, watch the money fly out of your account and your home fill with dragons, griffins, and unicorns–oh my!! π

My father always says…”You can’t take it with you, but you can always be buried with some of it.” πYou will continue to feel your wallet shrink, but you will always smile when you look upon what it has so graciously (Even if it did scream a little when you took out the last $250 π ) gave up its money to buy for you! XD
Yes Laurie, sometimes they do! π
