The on pic of his side from the back looks like it has A LOT of blue and purple, or is he supposed to?

I can’t see the auction from work but i have always wondered why Windstone used blue on teh Green Emperor it has NEVER made sense to me. I bought mine from a bookstore right after they retired them so I know it was not tampered with

They used purple interference on the old brown emperor. Why not use blue on the green one? Makes them a little more special and regal.
To the original poster, no, this is 100% legit. They were painted this way.

It shows in the pic you posted of your Brown emperor way back on the first “Show your Windstone Collection” thread. Subtle, but it shows. 🙂
I know I didn’t realize my black male griffin had purple above his beak until someone posted a pic of theirs that showed it. Mine is in a spot in my room that doesn’t get a lot of direct light, so I didn’t notice it until I went looking for it.
February 8, 2008 at 3:44 am #662890Well, I am waiting on a quote for some glass fronted wooden book cases, to display heavier pieces in….
Sooo, I will take him 🙂 I only have one other Emp, why not an Old Green for #2…hehehehehe
February 8, 2008 at 5:58 am #662891I probably don’t need to say this, but this guy is not only rare, but to find one mint in box is unheard of. I cannot recall a green emperor mint in box on eBay, ever. This is a very, very amazing find for whoever wins him.
