            Probably. People wanted the favored characteristics of the wild griffin, like companionship, loyality, hunting ablity, and guard and hearding talents. It probably took a few hundred years of selective breeding and of course, this changed the coat pattern considerably. πŸ˜†

                      well i think more than anything it would help to reduce all those loose feathers around the house, due to the non shedding quality of the poodle.we all know how those feathers like to get everywhere!
