This is my first post linking pics to my website – I’m so excited.
Ahem.
Some of you may remember that back in April-May last year, we had to put to sleep our 16-year-old dog. I had sworn we’d wait at least 6 months before even thinking about another dog.
Well.
Needless to say, that didn’t work out. The spot where her bed used to be was so empty, so was the house… so in May, we got two Italian greyhound puppies, that we named Merlot and Shiraz (purebred dogs just HAVE to have something classy for names, no?)
This is Merlot:
And this is Shiraz:
10 points to whoever can tell me the difference between the two 😆
Without the flash:
With flash but an uncooperative subject:
With flash and weird eyes:

Shiraz has a lighter colored throat than Merlot?

Yup, he has more white on him. There’s another subtle difference too…

January 27, 2011 at 2:25 am #836650Awwww, they’re just adorable!! 🙂
Do they answer to each others’ names too? 😆
January 27, 2011 at 8:19 am #836651Awww!!! Congratulations on getting Merlot and Shiraz! They’re absolutely beautiful!!
I showed your pictures to my greyhound, Reny (or Starz Renegade) and then he disappeared.
Later I found him in my car. (I guess he’s hoping that I drive him over to your house to go meet his little cousins! 😉 )
January 27, 2011 at 2:20 pm #836652Grats, on your beautiful fur babies! Think the differences were all mentioned. Shiraz has white patches on his thoat, chest and paws. It could be the camera flash but it looks like Merlot has brown on his tail.

January 27, 2011 at 5:12 pm #836653Cute Puppies ^^
January 27, 2011 at 11:05 pm #836654Aaaaw! Reny’s adorable! But he’s so much bigger than them… I forget how small they are.
Yes, they know their names, but since they’re always joined at the hip, whenever you call one, they both come 😀
I forgot… Shiraz had the white on the neck, chest and paws, and he’s sleeker than Merlot. Merlot is more muscled, but it’s hard to really tell on the pics. Heck, even in real life, it can be tough!

January 28, 2011 at 6:26 am #836656Aafdhsafldhadsjg! I just LOVE Italian Greyhounds, they are one of my favorite breeds and I’ve wanted one forever. Your new pups are just beautiful! I am sure they’ll bring much joy to your hearts again. 🙂
January 28, 2011 at 8:23 pm #836657What beautiful puppies! I have an Italian Greyhound as well and he’s a small one. Mine is only 10 pounds and his name is Tristan. I’d post pictures but I’m having trouble with my host site. There is a picture of him somewhere on this forum probably under pictures of pets.
IGs are nice dogs and make wonderful pets. Mine sleeps with me under the covers.
EDIT Here’s where I posted pics on Pg 3 http://www.windstoneeditions.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11465&start=30#p293712
