Yesterday was my nephew’s first birthday. Madeline’s brother!

We were out at the in-laws for dinner, and I was playing with the two brats in the living room. William is now able to pull himself up to the coffee table. He was grabbing on and trying to lift himself up, so I was saying “Pull William! MMMMMMMPPPH! PULL UP!”. Madeline pokes me in the side and says “Uncle pooping?! Make stinky??” 😉

Ah kids. She is what.. 2.5 now I think.

😆 😆 😆 I love the way young children see the world.

My cousin Alex was about 10 when he discovered his mom’s cigar box (great place to keep them) full of her feminine products. Curious, he asked her what they were, and she figured he was old enough to learn about That Time of the Month. So, she frankly explained to him what they were for, and why she needed them each month. Alex grew paler and paler, and more and more saucer-eyed, as the explanation went on. Finally, it occurred to her to mention, “Oh sweetie, it’s just for girls by the way.” All the blood came back to his face, he plopped down on the floor, and he goes, “OH! WHEW! Wow!” and heaves an ENORMOUS sigh of relief. That poor kid!!! Where did he think he had to put them?

I love this! 😆 I remember a story a friend of mine told me once about when her husband took their then 2 year old daughter in the store. Well he had to pass gas and went to an area where no one was around to relieve himself. Well his daughter immediately said, ‘Daddy, you ka-ka pantsed!” She then proceeded to tell everyone that they came in contact with in that store “Daddy ka-ka pantsed!” XD Neeldess to say he practically threw her back at her mother when he got out! Just love the way kids just tell it like it is! Ya gotta love them! 😀

Haha! Apparently when I was about two and a half, my mom had some friends over and my baby sister started wailing on the baby monitor. My toddler reply? “Oh, S**T, the baby’s cwying!” Mom had some ‘splainin to do.

When I was a toddler, the word my grandparents used for private parts was ‘no-no’. One day my sister was going over to a friend’s house to play and swim in their pool. They had another young guest my age, and invited me along. Nana was at work and Grandpa had baby duty, he liked the idea of some uninterrupted nap time. I didn’t know how to swim yet at the time though (about 3 years). So he drilled it into me that I wasn’t to go into the pool. When the family came to pick us up, he was talking to the parents and then turned and asked me what the no-no was. I straddled and pointed to my crotch- “This”. He got very red and spluttery.
My husband’s younger son liked trucks when he was a toddler, like most. He had a hard time with the ‘tr’ sound, though. So, when he saw a truck, he would get all excited and holler “F***!” at the top of his lungs.
