(… and struggles in vain to upload pics)

The dragons I draw fit squarely into archosauria (the group that includes crocodiles, birds and other dinosaurs), with wingless quadrupeds on one branch and wyverns on the other. Not gonna lie, it’s partly so I won’t have to work out the shoulder anatomy. 😉

This guy’s basically my attempt at figuring out scales and reptilian features in general – the only animals I’ve resculpted before have been horses – and as such I thought I might as well work on a spare body. The most messed up thing in my body bin was a leopard, so… well, see for yourselves:

He reminds me of the Crystal Palace Megalosaurus, sort of halfway between croc and mammal. No idea what I was thinking with the Godzilla plates along the neck and tail.

Anyway, if anyone’s got comments, critiques, questions…

Looks like a close relative of Postosuchus!

Yeah, my Safari one’s sitting right next to me, providing inspiration and making me feel bad about my sculpting skills… Of course now they’ve determined she was likely a facultative or even obligate biped too, so it looks like I’ll have to stick with dragons if I want reptilian felid/canid analogues.
