Image approval delay?

I noticed that in the locked sticky thread with the Gallery Update, Vantid said “Now hear this! Now hear this!

This has to do with upload approvals.

Somedays we get scads of pictures uploaded at once. To give everyone a fair chance at having their images seen, we are going to approve four pictures a day.”

Does that mean that if you posted a bunch of images of a single PYO, there will be a delay in their approval so that each submitter gets one pic each shown on the newest additions section of the Gallery?

I just ask because I submitted 5 pictures last night and I don’t mind waiting to see them up, i just want to make sure they weren’t rejected! LOL 😀

actually vantid put that up a while back…but since so many of them were out of town it’s been taking longer for approvals….but chessie approved a ton of them last week I think…

Well a bunch including one of my images got approved last night/early today (for me timewise anyway) and I was just wondering where the other four images I submitted went. If they are still in a queue somewhere, that’s cool ^_^

I like the way they only allow 4…it makes sure everyone has at least one full day that their images get seen so it’s fair for everybody.

I think it’s a cool idea as well, I was actually feeling a bit naughty for posting so many images in a row so it’s good they have a way around people like me! LOL I just wanted to know if the other images I submitted are still in queue or whether I have to resubmit them one at a time, cos I’m cool with whatever 😀

Nah, we’re not gonna start rejecting any pictures because of that, she just meant that we were doing that to give everyone a chance on the front page with latest additions.

By the way, Sunhawk, I think I just uploaded a bunch of your PYO pictures. So they should be up now.
