😥 So my mother called me about an hour ago to tell me that my dog is missing. 😥

He’s an 8yr old Golden Retriever and I have to keep him at my mom’s house which is about 20 minutes away because I don’t have a yard. I could keep him in the house here but he loves to run and needs the space, ergo keeping him at my mom’s where he has 5.6 acres to run around. She told me that 3 days ago he broke his leash and took off on her and that they haven’t been able to find him.

Now I’m checking the local lost and found as well as the animal shelter, but they haven’t seen him. Plus to make matters worse it’s hunting season. I just hope that SOMEONE found him and took him in and that he’s not hurt somewhere. 😥

I was just over her house for my birthday and he was so playful, he acts just like a puppy and is as friendly as can be!
Why do things always go wrong on my birthday? I’m taking the day off the calender. 👿

Oh no! I am so sorry, and I hope you will find him as well and as happy as you last saw him! *hugs*

Oh no! Put up posters as well near your mom’s place and in the surrounding areas, including Vet offices (since larger dogs can travel a distance). Hopefully he comes back or is found safe and sound very soon!

I hope you find him soon! It sucks to lose a pet!

Sorry to hear that. I hope you get him back safe and sound.

I’m sorry about your dog, when my exhusband and I moved from an apartment
to our house my one son let our dog out and we found him 2 days later at our
old apartment. Maybe he is trying to find his way back to your place?

I hope you find him soon and that he’s just fine.

My sympathies on how awful the waiting and not knowing is. 😥

I hope he turns up. I’ve had mine get away from me and it’s terrifying. She went swimming and I about had heart failure. I’ll keep you in my thoughts.

Have you posted him/her to PetFinder? They have a lost list. Also Pet detectives has helped other find missing pets. Good luck

I spent last night contacting everyone from the shelter to our local radio station. Nobody had seen my dog. So I called my mom this morning to see if they’d had any luck and what do ya know he’s home!

He was at a neighbors farm for the past 4 days. Nobody there thought anything of it, they even tried to give him to their employees. 😯 ACK! Thankfully the daughter whom I had gone to high school with came home from college and recognized him.

So I’ve been worried sick and he’s been playing on a farm. Crazy dog. 🙄 I just hope he behaved himself so that I don’t get a call in a couple months about puppies. They have a German Shepard, although they would be pretty puppies. 😆

Thank you so much everybody, I really needed it. My grandfather had gotten him for me for Christmas 8yrs ago and I didn’t want to loose him too.
