I may or may not be out of the loop for a bit. They are supposed to turn off my internet tomorrow and I move into a hotel in the afternoon. I dont know if the hotel has WiFi. My car has been shipped, my house is pretty much empty, and for the next 6 days or so, I will be eating nothing but fast food. I actually fly on the 6th of May, so I will be able to check my email at a friends this weekend, if internet is not available at the hotel. I land in Hawaii on the 6th of May, after 19 hours of flight time and 24 hrs of travel time. The pets will all go to a kennel there at the airport (or close by) and I will probably go to a hotel. Im sure I will be tired, but I wanted to keep folks who were interested up to date on my progress. I figured I would use this thread till I was settled. 🙂 Im very excited but feel sorry for the pets. I hope the airline at least lets me walk the dogs right quick after I land in Chicago. I wont have time when I land in SF. I will keep those who are interested updated and I kinda just want to write whats going on and share with someone. 🙂

Germany to Hawaii… 2 coveted assignment spots 8) trading awesome pastries, Bavarian cream & rich dinners (and beer) for beaches & coffee, volcanoes & ravines, sea turtles & snorkeling. *grin* *slightly jealous* 😉
Do the pets have to be quarantined? I hope all goes smoothly for them as well.The pets are gonna be held overnight because the quarentine place closes for releases at 8pm and we are not landing till 715pm. They wont be processed in time to be released and I am kinda glad, since I have no place to put them. 😆 I will be able to either pick them up or transfer them to the MWR kennel the next day. The rabbit will have to go with me since MWR only houses dogs and cats. Hopefully I will get housing right away, but I have no idea what the wait list is like over there.
How exciting! Have a safe trip! but don’t be surprised if you find me hidden in one of your suitcases!

I have the two rotties, who just turned 8. Hopefully their old bones are up for the trip. I have the annoying cat, who, besided being scared, will be just fine. And the bunny… who I love and oughta be fine, too. I just cannot picture the poor dogs cooped up for so long w/o a walk.
