My bonus went to getting storage space. We use the second living room (we use the so-called family room as our living room – these new house layouts are a bit redundant) as our offices. To cut the room in 2 spaces (his and hers 😀 ), I got the Billy bookcases at Ikea. They were delivered today and I’m in the process of putting them up. Yup, I’m the Ikea engineer! Of course, for my side, I planned nice display space… I’ll take pics when I’m done!
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

March 15, 2007 at 10:01 pm #552057Sweet. I am waiting for the Ikea to be built here. It should be done by the end of spring I am hoping and then I get to purchase shelves.
March 15, 2007 at 10:17 pm #552058Totaly cool!! Can’t wait to see pics! What color cases did you get?
March 15, 2007 at 10:42 pm #552059Black on the ends, with doors, and beech in the middle. The darker Windstone should look great on there.

I oughta put up some before and after pics when it’s done. Would love to see your pics too. Does anyone out there have suggestions on track lighting (for the underside of a bookshelf)?
March 15, 2007 at 10:51 pm #552061How cool!
I have only been to one ikea in pittsburgh, and it was so fun, really could have been $$$ haha. Can’t wait to see the pix!!!
March 15, 2007 at 11:27 pm #552062when i first moved into this area, the two closest ikeas were an hour away each. it was a wonderful treat to drive to either and get the frozen yogurt–as well as wonder through the whole store! now there is one a few miles away and it is not much of a treat.
an ikean tip: go to the as is section early in the morning and before the weekend, they have more stuff there.

March 16, 2007 at 6:55 am #552065They also have these really cool wall lamps that look like torches from a castle, that have a Flame light. It can stay on or flicker. they only run about 14.99. Look in the kids section.
