I think the antiquing looks good but if you have some areas where it didn’t stay on, I would do another coat of antiquing and leave it on a bit longer in the lighter areas before wiping. Or if some areas are too dark, you can wipe them with a damp q-tip or cloth to get excess black off.

Maybe I’ll try that tomorrow. I’m a little afraid to mess with her any more though. Thanks for the advice!
With my first try antiquing a dragon’s wings, I had to do the antiquing 4 times for it to turn out how I wanted as the first time, not enough stayed in the cracks. I just let it dry in between layers and didn’t wipe it to hard or too wet.

You may be comparing the dragon to a vision you had for the piece, but all your friend sees is a lovely dragon. I think that artists often feel that their pieces aren’t “right”. Even Melody says that when she looks at something she painted she mostly sees things she could have done better!

Well, she’s all finished. Thank you all for supporting me and cheering me on in this adventure! I just packed her up in her original packaging and I’ll probably mail her out tomorrow.
I’m definitely going to get a PYO for myself soon!
