I’m sorry you are getting the wedding planning blues. At my rehersal dinner and the reception there were a few disposable cameras scattered here and there that guests could take pictures with. It was great, because we got to see things we might have otherwise missed. Could you use make up to cover the tattoos up a bit?

😆 Not a chance. They are big and full color! All they need to see is a huge green flaming skull on their precious grandsons’ future bride 😆 I am planning on the disposable cameras, though. I always loved that idea.
January 20, 2008 at 9:31 pm #656721Where is the skull? Is it on your back? Would a long veil cover it?

Its on my forearm! I have one on my upper arm, my legs, my upper back, my lower back! Everywhere! 😆

Okay, I think a nice white long sleeve turtleneck sweater and jeans would be best. Maybe you can find white jeans!!! 😛 😆

You have a picture of the skull tat? Sounds cool!
How about trying Dermablend? I haven’t tried it personally, but I’ve heard it works well.

http://www.dermablend.com/productDetails.aspx?prodID=17Nope, I dont think I do. Its on my arm and I cant take a pic of it cuz I cant see with the camera. I may have moms take a pic of it one day. I know there are a couple tattoo topics on here. Im not gonna cover them up for the wedding though. I am not that eager to please someone who judges by looks, though I can respect their beliefs. 😉January 20, 2008 at 11:01 pm #656727skigod377 wrote:lamortefille wrote:skigod377 wrote:pegasi1978 wrote:I’m sorry you are getting the wedding planning blues. January 21, 2008 at 2:25 am #656728Oh congrats, Ski! Sorry I missed all the excitement, and sorry that you’re dealing with the unfun side of weddings, but I know at least one bride who wore jeans and the wedding pics look great. 8)
January 21, 2008 at 7:03 am #656729I was going to suggest Theatrical Makeup. Darn stuff will cover anything!! 😀 😛 😛
Enjoy your wedding! And Pics! We will need pics!!! 😀 😀 😀
January 21, 2008 at 4:30 pm #656730We had a potluck reception. It worked great. There was SO MUCH food. That way we could invite everybody we wanted there and didn’t have to worry about the expense of feeding them. My brother works at a liquor store, so he contributed a keg of beer and a case of wine (and a couple bottles of champagne for the head table). My mom bought me a nice cake, and brought a really big coffee maker. People chipped in and helped out serving. Our friend Jenn (who we lost earlier this year) cut the cake for us. We had disposable cameras. Our friends Paul and Anita (not a couple) played music for us on guitar and flute, respectively. Paul’s wife Lisa took pictures (she was a professional photographer at the time — and we didn’t hire her) and gave them to us as our wedding gift. Our friend Jay performed the ceremony (he had a marrying license) and his wife Linda assisted (They are now divorced and Jay is married to Anita – my husband performed their ceremony, and I was a bridesmaid). My very good friend Jeff gave me away. Hubby’s daughter was the flower girl. Stepson Michael and friend Rich were groomsmen. My friends Lynn and Linda were bridesmaids.
I don’t know why I went into so much detail… I guess I just wanted to show that we were surrounded by so many loved ones, and we only rented a town hall building that had a pond and a grassy lawn in back. We got married by the pond outside and had the reception in the building. There was even a playground for the kids. Our musician friends brought instruments and everyone hung around and played music together afterwards. It was the best wedding I could have imagined.
Of course, you probably don’t want to get married outside in the winter, but simple can be nice too.
January 21, 2008 at 5:42 pm #656731I think this is more of his mother wanting her only baby to have a nice wedding. I dont mind, but I am not there, so I am planning everything on line. I dont know what got into Paul, but all of the sudden is is getting into it and trying to take care of everything. I really appreciate it, but he cant pay for everything… otherwise I sold my dragons for nothing. 😆 Its hard to pay for things when I am not there. The chapel doesnt even take CCs! 😯 He is paying for the cake and checking out the caterer and doing the contract, so is trying to pay for that, too. Plus my boquet, which his mother informed him he is responsible for. Now I feel like I got us into this by wanting something nice for him to remember and HE is the one having to pay for it. 😕 I need to get there and undermine him but he is very clever. He will probably manage to charm the chapel lady and pay for that, too, even though I was very explicit when I told her not to let them pay for anything!!
January 21, 2008 at 6:34 pm #656732I think it’s sweet that he wants to pay for so much. 😀 Maybe your money can go for a short trip or a special outing….
January 21, 2008 at 7:10 pm #656733well back to covering up tats
Take if from a former Drag Queen. I did not want to have to shave my chest this year for Halloween. I did some research on line and found bodysuits.com They where GREAT to work with and have all sorts of body suits. I had several people comment how beautiful my skin was and all I could do was laugh. Everyone thought it was my real skin. I got mine in Camel color and the mock tutrle neck. One necklace and it was done -
