The Galapagos islands – ever since I’ve read about Darwin I’ve wanted to go there. Also Alaska, Ireland and Australia!
Ireland was amazing. I spent a weekend there when I was studying at Oxford for a summer. I really want to go back.

Nah, not too well traveled, really. I’ve been to Italy, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Other than that, it’s been all USA…NY, PA, MA, RI, CT, VA, DE, MD, NC, SC, WV, AL, GA , FL, NV, UT, AZ, OK, CA and HI. I’m not much for traveling outside the US anymore, so hopefully I’ll visit all 50 states eventually. I would also like to visit Canada. We keep ending up in Vegas for some reason, though. lol
Yes, what were the circumstances for the Puerto Rico trip. Italy too!
I’m with Ski about Australia. I’d love to go there and New Zealand. The footage of New Zealand in Lord of the Rings was breathtaking!! 🙂
I loved Vegas while I lived there but in the daytime it just looks dirty. 😀 I want to hit Puerto Rico, too. Some of my pals went to Spain when I was in Germany, but I didnt go. I should have but it was probably a money or pet sitting issue that kept me home. No telling. Canada was pretty nice, but I have not been there since I was little.

Aw, thanks. And yes, I did take the Beastie, for all 4000 km of the trip. It had as much fun as I did, especially since it survived the trip without vibrating loose any screws or levers… 😆
My parents visited Italy several times. My dad served there during WW2 and he loved going back more than my mom (even though he was Irish). lol They dragged me kicking and screaming when I was about 13, but I loved it once I was there. Rome was my favorite! I think my mom dragged us to every church she could find, though. *rolls eyes* Tivoli Gardens in Tivoli was wonderful, too. A video, but not mine. There are no pumps involved; it works using natural water pressure. Pretty amazing!
My vacation in Puerto Rico was very low key. I went with a friend and we stayed at his friend’s condo and didn’t do any touristy stuff. We went to the local beach (beautiful and secluded), ate at the local restaurants (excellent food), hung out at the local bar (w/o any problems), etc. It was actually a very nice trip. 8) My ex husband is Puerto Rican and he was sent over there to spend summers when he was little. I always wanted to go back for vacation, but he refused. I told him everybody speaks English (his Spanish is limited to cussing mostly), we can stay at the Hilton and we don’t have to go visit his extended family and milk the goats. He still refused. 😆
Last time we were in Vegas, they actually cleaned it up some. They were cracking down on the people handing out *entertainment* flyers, so the discards weren’t littering the streets so much. We went horseback riding in the desert on one trip. The dumping of appliances, furniture and other junk in the desert was very disheartening. 😡

I agree, but I think you would have to sedate me for the loooong plane ride. I start to get claustrophobic after a while!
