My dragons came today. I purchased 2 mother dragons from them; one emerald and the other peacock. In our phone call they said that one had some chips on the wing, and I was given a 10 dollar or so discount on it, and that the other was in good condition.
They arrived today, both in the same box. I opened up the box and unwrapped the emerald first. Very dusty and dirty, and it looks like a few of the toes were broken and repainted. It had chips in the wings and a few around the base. Nothing too horrible, and I figured hey, for a discount, I can fix this and deal with it.
Then I opened the Peacock and realized my error. The peacock is obviously the discounted one. There are obvious large chunks of body damage and missing parts that have been repainted in not matching colors. The toes are broken and then the stubs painted gold. There are flea bites all over and just generally a big mess. :/ Had I pictured this to be the extent of the damage, I wouldn’t have purchased her.
At this point it would cost me again to ship it back, and I don’t want to deal with the hassle. Do I at least call, and if so, can I actually expect anything to come of it? Is anyone else ending up this disappointed?Welcome to the forum. I bet if you didn’t pay too much for it then someone else would buy it from you. There are always people looking for chipped/broken peices.

I’m in GA on the east coast. They seemed to pack well, but then I only had the 1 dragon…
While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!
June 8, 2007 at 5:20 pm #582051ok i got mine today! in ONE box, not two which i insisted on. the male was fine, just FILTHY like that grubby little oriental on ebay recently! wow! FILLLLLLLLLLLTHY! i have never seen anything like it! minor rubs to the gold, but that is easily touched up. the sun oriental is “eh”… a chunk of a chip out of the back toe, and he looks wretched without his orb! poor thing! i’ll have to feed him some cheese to perk him up and help him heal! his front toe broke in shipping, but the felt held it on, so i quickly glued it back seamlessly! phew! as previously said by others well wrapped in lots of bubble wrap but in one box. they got here ok which is the main thing.
June 8, 2007 at 5:21 pm #582052Glad they arrived all right, TF. Is the grime removable?
June 8, 2007 at 5:34 pm #582053Mine is pretty dirty too. I dread having to clean him.

June 8, 2007 at 5:48 pm #582054ah yes! he’s clean already! thanks! a good trip to the sink and a hearty toothbrushing job and good as new! the dirt filled the crevices on him, especially on his tail! wow! he even had some paint splatters on him- black- like someone painted something near him and little splitters landed on him! they flicked right off though. all better now, though! now for some gold touch ups!
June 8, 2007 at 7:02 pm #582055Glad he made it there ok. That is kinda upsetting that they didn’t double box it tho.
June 8, 2007 at 7:08 pm #582056tell me about it!! another one that arrived in a single SMALL box was a black griffin i won on ebay. he came wrapped a couple times in bubble wrap and laid in a standard size priority mail box! you know the one i’m talking about! holy cow! he rattled/tumbled in there like crazy too when i shook the box when i got him at the post office..i was like.. there is NO way he is going to be in one piece, but he was fine! i couldn’t believe it, with all the broken griffin deliveries, i was sure i would be another! 😯
June 8, 2007 at 7:09 pm #582057You’re lucky, TF, and I’m glad for you.

😯 Oh god that would have been horrifying to see if he had been broken in transit. Glad he made it to you safe and sound.
June 8, 2007 at 7:35 pm #582059I just got a large male unicorn from Mary Ann Tunison (MODERF) and it was so well packed it took me forever to just unwrap the bubble wrap around it. It arrived in ONE PIECE.
