I have heard that pitbulls are agressive and when they attack their jaw locks and they can’t open it for a while. Is that the case?
No, its just an old wives tale. In actuallity, Rottweilers were found to have stronger bites than pits and sheppards. No dogs jaw “Locks” though. They just have a good grip.

It is terrible what the government is doing to your area. Why would they want to drive up the prices of rent? They will just loose in the long run.I have heard that pitbulls are agressive and when they attack their jaw locks and they can’t open it for a while. Is that the case?
Dragoness, it is not the government trying to drive land prices up, but they are between a rock and a hard place. People are flocking here to work, and they need places to live…but they dont want to live here either, they want a camp to stay in so they can go hoe on their days off. Next you have the people that have bought here, if a bunch of land is suddenly opened up it will drive prices down so it has to say in balance on both ends. You also have to take into consideration that just because they have opened up land doesnt mean much can be done with it, average wait for a basement to be poured if you buy land 3 years, same to have the house built, the construction companies just can keep up. Then you have the environmentalists. They dont want the oil mined out, or the land freed up for houseing. Fort McMurray has a very bad reputaion for most of Alberta, it did for me before I moved here. There is alot of money here so there are alot of drugs. But it is a very pretty city and the city is making it more family friendly.
*Just a note on the oil mining–the companies have the land leased from the government, part of the contract states that the land must be restored to it former state. The company has to pay to put the sand, then soil, streams, plant life and animal life back. They have done this in the sections that they have mined out and it works, they have re-introduced the wood bison as well, something that was gone before the mining was started.

Well that makes more sense. And I agree with the contract, they should put it back the way it was before.January 31, 2007 at 9:13 pm #533759skigod377 wrote:dragonessjade wrote:I have heard that pitbulls are agressive and when they attack their jaw locks and they can’t open it for a while. Aw, well I guess ppl should try and find a reliable source to find things out. But sometimes that is hard. How do you know what is the truth and what isnt. They say that you shouldn’t beleive everything in the newspaper and news on tv. I guess it is taking a gamble.
