I won a gold male dragon and a gold mother dragon on ebay two or three weeks back ( can’t remember exactly) from the same seller, but when I paid I paid for separate shipping… After my paypal check cleared the seller emailed me with one tracking number. I immediately emailed them and told them I had paid for separate shipping and these items can break if packaged together and ( trying to give the benefit of the doubt) asked if there was a second tracking number…. NO RESPONSE… I get the package today and they are indeed packaged together with only packing peanuts and a couple pieces of bubble wrap thrown in there!!!!! Who would even pack one windstone like that? But two windstones in one box with only packing peanuts….What were they thinking? First I pull out the mother dragon… she has a small chip on her crest. Not so bad, I could even repair it pretty easily if I could get matching paint. Then I pull out the father dragon and his nose is completely bashed off and a huge chunk of his crest is broken off. I guess the girls win the fights sometimes 😀 . I am extremely aggravated with these seller already since they never had the courtesy to email me back. I just sent them another email telling them I expect a full refund for these items including the shipping cost since no shipping service will honor an insurance claim when the damage was obviously due to negligence on the sellers part… I also told them they only had 24 hours to respond before I escalated it to paypal claim….not sure if i’m allowed to do that but I am steamin right now.
And now I’m very sad 🙁 I got a pretty good deal on both these pieces that were mint and they both had beautiful purple iridescent shading on them…. 🙁 I was really looking forward to getting these pieces since gold has quickly become one of my favorite colors and now I’m going to have to wait and get them sometimes in the future for full store price.
Is it just me or have their been too many bad sellers on ebay lately?
Anyways thanks for listening to my rant and I truly sympathize with everyone else dealing with or who have dealt with careless sellersDecember 4, 2009 at 12:07 am #499753December 4, 2009 at 12:17 am #794778what a bummer
December 4, 2009 at 12:34 am #794779Unfortunately, tis the season to be wary! I’m sure eBay scams will abound this season with people going Christmas shopping and what not. So sorry this happened to you–such a bummer to buy a mint piece only to receive it in pieces! 😡 I hope this gets resolved for you fast. Of course there’s always Kyrin!
December 4, 2009 at 12:56 am #794780Thanks. I hope I can just get my refund and be done with it. I’d rather just get these pieces later from a store as mint. I usually don’t care if a piece is mint or not but it sort of ruins it when it was supposed to be to being with and you have to deal with a person you never wanted to deal with in this way. It just ruins the whole piece for me. If the seller gives me a refund and lets me keep the pieces to repair that would probably be ok… but I highly doubt that will be the case. It is sort of a shame since the mother could be fixed pretty easily.

D*MN but this crap is pissing me off!! I feel for you, I really do, and please everyone forgive my ranting but I know what this is like!!
After getting jipped out of an emp (see the thread in Community if you have not already…) and having to go through all that, including having sellers either outright LIE or make tons of excuses…I am fuming every time I hear about this crap!
To have 2 mint pieces send to you carelessly wrapped indicates the seller just wants to be CHEAP and make more money off of you paying for two boxes! You made this clear, right, that you wanted them shipped separate? Yeah. It’s obvious why the seller didn’t do it.
You have my sympathies. And my anger 😆
December 4, 2009 at 1:33 am #794782Thanks, always glade to have company in the angry club 😡 😆 I thought it was clear I wanted separate shipping when I paid for separate shipping and didn’t request them to b shipped together… Sellers should never take short cuts before asking the buyer… GRRRAHH so frustrating. At least these guys aren’t super rare or retired, but they were still extra pretty with their purple. I hope the ones I end up with after all this have similar shading.
December 4, 2009 at 2:44 am #794783Man, that sucks 🙁 . I can relate. Had the same kinda thing happen to me. It’s so frustrating when sellers cut corners on packing – even if you ask them to take care in doing so 😡 . Here’s a link I’m going to give to any future ebay buyers I receive Windstones from. http://bladespark.topcities.com/wpacking.html

That’s a great link, and it’s how I learned to properly ship these myself. But as a collector I can easily determine how heartbreaking it would be to lose pieces due to careless shipping (I never experienced that yet but I never want to) and as a seller I make certain to pack these to the hills. I have had many a happy buyer and my eBay feedback remains at 100%. 🙂
Good idea purpleturle! I know I will be asking about double boxing and packing peanuts/bubble wrap to the sellers before I bid from now on. (Though usually the “real” sellers will state this in their auction to begin with.)
December 4, 2009 at 4:11 am #794785ARGH! I’d be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO PISSED! I’m sorry Nicole! That really sucks! Some people have no damn respect! 👿

The last piece I got from eBay, the seller did double box… and I praised them for that in their feedback. As for packing peanuts, for them to work properly, there should be 2% overflow. No skimping, gotta stuff ’em! 8)
December 4, 2009 at 4:47 am #794787Thanks everyone. It’s nice to have people really understand how aggravating stuff like this is. The saddest part is, if the seller had just bubble wrapped both pieces pretty well they both might have survived the trip together, or at least the mother dragon would have. I guess it doesn’t help to wonder what if. I’m gunna go take some pictures and then post them.
December 4, 2009 at 5:06 am #794788Ok here they are:
This is the box they were both shipped in together with just packing peanuts and a couple small pieces of bubble wrap:
Here is the damage to the mother dragon(not too bad):
Here is the damage to the poor male dragon:
rino plasty gone wrong
broken crest
dents in his chest
rubs on his thigh
December 4, 2009 at 5:08 am #794789I definitely sympathise with you in having a bad seller ruin the experience of buying a piece. It’s terribly disheartening to have your hopes up for something so special, only to have to worry with a non-communicating seller and even worse to have a piece arrive smashed! I really hope this can turn into an experience that ends at least neutrally for you.
Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!
December 4, 2009 at 5:08 am #794790People can be such twits at times. I’m sorry your dragons were damaged. I hope things get resolved!
