So I won the Emerald Emp that was on ebay last week and paid a decent price for it. Well I got it today and the tail is broke in 4 pieces along with the two feet. It is not a clean break and some of the little pieces turned to powder. I am so bummed 😥 cause the Emeralds are one of my favs and I had been wanting an Emerald Emp. for quite some time. I emailed the person that I bought it from and am waiting for a response. Thanks for lending an ear!

November 7, 2008 at 11:20 pm #739206This is something I was wondering about—what happens now? Do you have to accept this or what?
November 7, 2008 at 11:20 pm #739208That sucks!
Maybe he can be fixed???
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

Well you can contact the seller and see if you can ask for a full refund but you would probably have to send him back… 🙁 If the seller is non responsive than open up a dispute on ebay and if they still do not reply than move it over to paypal and they willissue you a refund from the sellers acct in the end if the seller decides not to respond to you at all, either way it will be a while before you do recieve any sort of refund unless the seller issues it out to you right away but if they go through the USPS insurance it can take upto 4 or 6 months… 😕
I just bought another Old Green Emperor and the same thing happened but I wanna keep him so I have to wait to get a refund… 🙁 Cause I don’t want him to go in the garbage, he’lljust have to visit Kyrin once all is figured out… 🙂

November 7, 2008 at 11:26 pm #739210Did they ship him double boxed for safe shipping?
If he was shipped by UPS or Fed Ex you can call them and they will start a claim for you. If he was shipped through the post office I think the shipper has to start a claim but you may be able to take him to the post office and see what they say and if there is anyway to start a claim?
Good luck
November 7, 2008 at 11:28 pm #739211I thought about getting him fixed but then would be out the money for fixing him and the shipping to and from. It may be worth it to just wait for another to come up. Oh well, for now I’ll just wait for the seller to get back to me. I asked for him to be double boxed but it didn’t happen. 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥
November 7, 2008 at 11:46 pm #739212I am going to have to write every seller who puts up an Emperor and let them know how to ship and why!
Arrggh!
Don’t throw that dragon way lady!
Send me pictures, and I will write you a formal estimate of repair costs, etc…perhaps the seller will agree to paying for repairs…it’s worth a try.
You know I would be more than happy to fix him for you, and if the seller pays for the shipping and repair, you won’t be out anything.

I’ll get around to taking pics hopefully today. If you don’t mind, could you PM me your email. I don’t know if I have it from my last fixer upper or not. Thanks Kyrin. 😀November 8, 2008 at 12:13 am #739214Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! 😥 That SUCKS so much! I’m so sorry!!!

The seller should be made responsible for the costs of repairs, no question. I don’t understand what goes through the some sellers heads when they ship stuff like that 🙄 .
November 8, 2008 at 5:20 am #739216I’m so sorry, Adara. Some people are so arrogant, ignoring requests from somebody who’s a collector and would obviously know how to properly package a Windstone. 👿
November 8, 2008 at 6:26 am #739217Sorry AdaraSky that does suck, he has to be the hardest piece to send, we have seen them broken even when sent in their original boxes 🙁 . I hope the seller will work with you so you can get him fixed.
November 8, 2008 at 8:18 am #739218Oh no! As someone who’s had an emperor delivered smashed to her too, my heart goes out to you. It’s such a shame to have a mint piece beforehand arrive in such condition. I hope Kyrin can help you, and I certainly hope the seller owns up and gives you a refund!!! If not, you know you’ve got us for advice and a friendly ear. Best of luck!
Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!
