So, I bought a “Special Paint Red Fire Spectral” from someone on ebay. I have been searching and searching for the coa to sell it, but can’t find it anywhere. Now I just got a regular Red Fire Spectral and there is absolutely no difference. Can you tell a difference? I contacted the seller and guess what no response. 😡 👿 😡 I have never purchased a special paint one before so I guess I didn’t know what to look for. 🙁

July 1, 2009 at 12:47 am #498609July 1, 2009 at 12:50 am #772359The special paint refers to the clearcoat they put on the piece. It’s supposed to sparkle and glitter in direct sunlight. Take it outside and see if you can find the sparkle? 😕
July 1, 2009 at 12:51 am #772360The special paint only really shows up under direct light. If you hold it up to a lamp, does it have the irridescent sparkles?? If you look in this thread (it’s for Nam’s Winter Moss Keeper) in the last photo, it shows what the special paint should look like.
Guess I should include the thread:
July 1, 2009 at 1:00 am #772361Thank you for the link. I will take them outside and look. Should they be signed or have a box that says they are special?
July 1, 2009 at 1:00 am #772362Easy way to tell if you got tricked. Turn the special paint one over to see if he is signed. All the special red fire pieces auctioned on ebay were signed by Melody.
July 1, 2009 at 1:02 am #772363I have the mother dragon with special paint, and they are signed by Melody and have a COA–if you don’t have that, you were tricked. 👿
July 1, 2009 at 1:04 am #772364COAs can get lost. The signature is a little harder to fake. Have you gotten any other “special” pieces that have a signature that you could compare?
July 1, 2009 at 1:05 am #772365If need be, I could try to find my box in storage and see if it said it had special paint on the box–I think it did…

hehe, good point, I spaced on that fact completely.
They should have a box with the specific label as well.
July 1, 2009 at 1:08 am #772367That’s what I thought…it wasn’t hand-written that I recall… 👿
July 1, 2009 at 1:10 am #772368Idon’t own any other red fire pieces, I didn’t know that you had to take them outside to tell them apart–maybe I will buy a Male dragon or OW after all, I have been hoping for special paint ones all this time
July 1, 2009 at 1:12 am #772369😥 It’s not signed. EVIL PEOPLE!!!!!!! 👿 (the seller not you guys 😉 ) Thanks for all the help.
July 1, 2009 at 1:13 am #772370Oh man! I’m sorry you got tricked. How long ago was the auction? Can you report it to ebay?
July 1, 2009 at 1:15 am #772371that sucks…
