Hey Kyrin, I have those pictures of the white wizard if you want to take a look at it. I dont know how to put the pictures on the forum so I would have to email them to you. Pm me to let me know if you want them. Still no luck getting anything out of the deal. Taking the next step.

Bodine sent me a pic of him…He is a mess, but I bet you anything Kyrin could get him back together…I forgot about “No Face”! XD

I bet she could too. When I first seen him in the packaging I thought he was much worse that he actually is. He still is pretty messed up. I am still trying to figure out how he exactly got broke. His breaks are not consistant with the way he was in the box. Not jumping to conclusions or anything… ๐Ÿ˜• :bye:

One small problem with this. If you asked for insurance and you have proof that you asked and proof that you paid that amount over the original shipping price, you’re in good shape. But if you didn’t pay for it, he isn’t responsible ( even tho he should be, I always am). You will have all messages sent to him in your ebay messages, the auction will still be up so you’ll know what the shipping originally was. But. did you pay for the insurance? ๐Ÿ˜•

I ALWAYS HATE reading about these things
I have shipped MANY Windstones now EVEN across seas when Ski was in Germany and so far *knock on wood* I have not had these tragic ends.
I know I’m an expert, as we all are here, on packing as far as those in the world that know nothing about packing but most of packing should be common sense. The 6′ dropping thing worries me now though!!
All we can do si try and keep telling people the correct way to pack and ship.

I’m have all the faith in the world that Kyrin will be able to fix them though
I have even shipped 2 Large Wizards one to Washington and one to Southern CA and BOTH of them got to their new homes in perfect condition
I’m sorry you are going thru this though

See that is the thing. I was using a friends internet when I did this transaction. The emails were deleted out of my inbox. I have emailed ebay to ask if they keep records of them. He has offered $25 out of the $100 dollars I paid for it. I think I am just going to have to eat the broken piece and see Kyrin wants to fix it. I am a bit of a perfectionist. I only wanted mint Windstones. So I am still debating on if I am going to go through all of the trouble.

        #765004

Go through all of the trouble if you can prove it. 25% of the price you paid, especially if the seller is at fault, is not enough of a refund.

I only buy from people that use paypal, the record is always there and easily (I let myself believe that that is insurance in itself)

I went through paypal as a payment type. I have a claim with them. I have to prove that I asked for insurance to begin with. That I have to get through ebay.

I am here to give you an update…. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ I have to settle with the money he offered to me. Ebay said that once you delete the messages on your computer they are gone. ๐Ÿ˜• It was worth asking. The guy disputed that he offered me insurance and I turned it down. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Who in their great mind would turn down insurance on a piece like this. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ I am going to see if Kyrin wants to fix him. If they are broke and fixed they loose their money value, right? Thank you for all your hearts on this. I am really crushed… I have attempted to buy 4 Windstones so far and only 1 made it home. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ I guess that is what I get for liking something so much… 8)

Well some money back is better than none. Also, I know you prefer mint, but honestly, I have fixed many things that you would never ever know had been broken unless you already knew about it. But you couldn’t tell by looking when I was done. And I don’t really feel they lose their value if they are still loved and appreciated after their repair is done.

I would definately like to see the pictures, my email is kyrin(at)kyrinslair(dot)com.

Wow, what a heartbreak. I’m so sorry you’re having terrible luck. After receiving a damaged Windstone and having to go through a claim like you are, I just ALWAYS ask the sellers now on ebay how they plan to pack the piece, before the auction ends if possible. I’ve e-mailed that bladespark tutorial to about 4 different sellers now 8) One lady I think might have thought I was being WAY too finicky, but she did pack the pieces just right and they arrived safe. Most of the sellers I’ve sent that tutorial to have been happy for the tips. I just ask every time now. It seems that communicating with the seller exactly how you want the piece shipped is the best insurance of all. (I still buy it though!)

And I think that seeing the photos of all the broken pieces on that tut, due to improper packing, does MUCH more for a seller than a buyer explaining the necessity of double-boxing over e-mail. ๐Ÿ˜›

Can you PM me that link so I can keep it for my records? Not only as a buyer I am a maker (non windstones of course) and it hurts to see someones hard, beautiful work shattered because someone didn’t pack correctly.
