Absolutely such a sad story. Im very interested in finding out who this woman is for some kind of closure. And no, it is NOT abnormal for feeling something for someone youve never met. Energy is strong and I too believe you were guided to her collection to do with what you will. I think Maggie would be very pleased knowing that her collection has touched so many ppl and continue being cared for in a loving way by others who have the same love in common with her.
Youve done the right thing 100%, all the way around. And what you do from here will also be right. I know it’s an emotional thing to have come into possession of, like someone’s diary or something. But, I dont believe in coincidences. I feel this happened for several reasons, some we may never know. I do hope though, that we find out who this kindred spirit was. Id prefer not to speculate on what has or is happening. The fact remains that Maggie has obviously touched all of us here through Aetharia which should warm any heart. Anyone who gets one of these pieces will, in a way, always have this woman’s loving energy with them. What better way to be remembered and honored, even by those who never knew you!
Personally, my Windstones now and future are very specifically laid out with instructions in my Will. Normally someone my age wouldnt have a Will but given my health, it’s the right thing to do so I make sure certain things Ive retained in life go where Id like to see them. It is a sad case that these wound up in a box and seemingly dumped in a store. My 20 some odd years of collecting would break my heart if that happened.
Point is, youre doing the right thing and I know youll keep us posted on any bits of information you get as to finding out who this wonderful woman was- hopefully sooner than later though I am prepared to perhaps, never know. But look at all the love this unknown woman has spread already? And to ppl who didnt even know her. Hearty legacy that I believe she would be touched and proud of.

I haven’t sent you a PM cuz at first I wasn’t sure if you were going to sell them or what. But after finding as many as you did and then some of the keepsakes that came along with some of them (e.g. the one one the mother green dragon and the pic with the pink curlie), I’m not sure I could own one of them. I’d feel a little weird. but that’s just me I guess. I would love to get some of the ones that you have found in this collection, but now, being the circumstance I’m not so sure.
(maybe it’s cuz I believe in ghosts and Having one of her dragons which she clearly loved very much just seems like a bad idea to me) 😉Ah…but some spirits would smile fondly on you for caring for their treasures.
If it was someone in my family, yes, I would keep things that they left behind. in fact i have a stuffed kermit the frog (if that’s how you spell his name) that belonged to my great grandfather of which sat on top of his piano and he never moved it. But this is someone we don’t know…I agree that some spirits would be happy, but I’d still feel weird. I’m weird about the frog, but he belonged to someone close to me.
Not sure if this makes much sense. (having a weird day)My most wanted list: carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties
February 12, 2008 at 9:59 pm #664069I have to agree with DM when he says that you were the one who was supposed to find them.
I personally think that you should keep them yourself. It would be odd to separate them all. You found them all together like that…I don’t think anyone else here would ever find something like that. not without a miracle. You are extremely lucky. You should smile at what you have found, not be sad. If the family of this woman were creeps and didn’t know the value of those dragons and just threw them away like that, that’s their fault and I feel it is an insult to her memory. You rescued them and you should be proud of that.My most wanted list: carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties
February 12, 2008 at 10:05 pm #664070The mysterious fiance is in. I wanted to tell all of you that Aethie will be keeping the dragons. I was a sucker and caved into letting her keep them. I do agree with her that seperating them would be wrong of us, and I think that she would murder me in my sleep if I told her that they had to be sold.
With Aeth having school and not having very good health, I will do my very best to deal with this for her as far as the shopkeeper is concerned. I have about an hour before the shop closes, so I intend to go and stop by and see if she might speak with me. She may tell me more than what she told Aeth. We’ll see.
I also promise to behave myself. The last thing I need is Aeth and the rest of you Crazy Windstone Collectors chasing me down for being a meathead.
I’m sure Aeth will let you know whatever I find out.

February 12, 2008 at 10:13 pm #664075Good luck with the shop lady 🙂 Hopefully she will think twice about being as rude to you!
February 12, 2008 at 10:34 pm #664076I hate, hate hate to say this, but there is a good chance that when poor Maggie passed, family went in and did a clean sweep and got rid of things as fast as possible so they could sell her home/condo/ or if she rented or something they wanted to get things taken care of asap. Some families deal with things differently. I’m not saying that it should be this way but with family in the real estate business I know he’s seen it a lot. They may have cared enough not to trash her belongings, but did try to get rid of them as fast as they could for whatever reason. It’s very, very sad… but it does happen a lot, especially these days. 🙁
