Wow! There’s a lot of blue in that Peacock Male. Very nice. Congrats on your new dragons.
Thank you! And I love your sig – go Mythbusters!

Yeah I agree, I loved the Mulberry Wine color too. The emperor probably isnt that dark in real life, but it would be cool if he was a little darker than usual.
I’ve always been drawn the darker color Windstones- almost all of mine are, I have several Black Gold pieces and almost all of the black/peacock griffins. My Silver Lap and Red Fire OW stick out like sore thumbs in my cabinet hahaha.I just hope I can get this guy I’m buying the emperor from the compromise a bit. I asked him if he would meet me halfway since its a long drive to where he lives (more than an hour one way- and I have been feeling under the weather) and his version of meeting halfway is a town 17 miles from where he lives. We’d still have to drive more than 50 miles on our side. Oy. Have to try this again but at the same time I dont want to irritate him since hes got the dragon, but I am paying him in full and with cash, so I dont think its too much to ask.
/rant lol.February 23, 2008 at 2:51 am #631302It’s hard to coordinate things like that, sometimes. Especially if the other person has what you want. I hope it works out for you, without too much trouble.

Still, three Windstones in one day! Yay!
π π πYeah, that one is definitely a lot different than the one I got from the first batch. Yours does have the darker eyes, and much darker silver markings too.
Congrats on all your new pieces though. π The silver male is very pretty in person. Mine has some very dark shading as well.
February 23, 2008 at 4:24 am #631304Can’t wait to see some better pictures of him. (The peacock emp) I like dark colors, too. Have a safe trip to pick him up and make sure to get some nice pics for us to see of his handsome self. I just got a black gold mother with a booboo a couple days ago and didn’t like the color till I saw her in person. Figures, now I want all the black golds too. π
I just bought a Brown OW. π Pictures o’plenty once he arrives and is settled in. Also have somewhere in the shipping system an emerald OW, rainbow male, and a ruby mother. It’s gonna be a great couple weeks. -happydance-
February 23, 2008 at 4:31 am #631305Well to console myself for the loss of the Brown Ow, that the lucky Kachina managed to snag. π I got myself a Brown fledgling with my Gift Cert, and am going to get my Brown Lap soon as well. The fledgling arrived today, he is so cute.
Now to fight a few of you on eBay for a couple other things I’d like to collect. *grin*

February 23, 2008 at 4:44 am #631306I picked up a mint peacock emperor and a peacock mother for another forum member a few weeks ago from someone about an hour from me. I had a box for the mother with some bubble wrap and I used one of my plastic storage tubs for the emperor. The tub was large enough (66qt I think) that I placed the box with the mother inside of the tub, then added the emperor standing right beside it, wrapped in three large beach towels and the extra bubble wrap I had. I had some other things in the trunk as well, so that the tub didn’t slide around. He arrived safe and sound π Almost had a spill going into the house because of all the ice. It froze up during the time I was going getting the dragons and no one had had the time or notice to go put salt on the front walk (the back way required stairs to go down), so I almost too a tumble, dragons and all π― My first emperor too π

Yeah, I will defientely be posting pictures up here when I get him. I’m picking him up at 3pm so I will try to post pictures of him today, if not tomorrow. π And congrats on your purchases! You are amassing your collection so fast it makes my head spin! Lucky you! I’ve been collecting since I was 14 and this emperor will be my 10th piece.

Yeah its a delicate process! I still have the larger box that my OW came in a couple days ago and I think he will fit the emperor quite nicely- lots of those foam pellets and bubble wrap too of course. He’ll probably be in my lap the whole way home though. π
