Me too! He looked like it from the photos though!

Do you know what ather two pierces he had or has for sale?
Yes- he had an emerald mother dragon- though she had two fair sized chips on the front of her tail, and one of the wizards- I dont like them much so I didnt pay any attention to him. He has a blue and purple cloak.

Yeah I will give him a good inspection before I hand over my payment. He lives about an hour away from me, so I think it will work out nicely that way and then I dont have to worry about him packaging it.
And here is the picture he sent me;
February 22, 2008 at 11:48 pm #631288So I just got my Silver Male, my Jade Oriental from AdaraSky, and my white and silver Poad(tm)
I love this guy! I must say he looks much better in person then he does on the website. There is several subtle variations in the color and I really love the dark silver color on the scales under the wings.
Now I understand the fuss about the Jade color.
I must say I am a little startled by this guy. The blue eyes are much darker then I was expecting from the picture. The face has much more brown then the picture on the website. I like him, but overall not what I was expecting.
Still, three Windstones in one day! Yay!
😀 😀 😀February 22, 2008 at 11:52 pm #631289Wow, RiDuvessa, the silver male is very beautiful. And you are quite right, he is much prettier in person than on the website.
February 23, 2008 at 12:01 am #631290d’oh! thats wierd about the poads’ eyes! the first batch had the pale blue eyes, same as in the silver male. i wonder if the whole new batch of silver poads got those darker eyes! that will certainly be a way tell the two batches apart in the future- the different eye colors…
the silver male is a really beautiful piece i just got one too and the variety of tone in the silver is awesome. i’m not sure about other folks, but mine is so dark on the body scales just under the wings that it looks almost black! i tried to photograph it but he is such a bugger to get a pic of- he just blows out with shiny-ness.
congrats on your pieces, you got some real good ones there! 😉February 23, 2008 at 12:08 am #631291VampireBiscuits wrote:Dragon Master wrote:Very good it sounds like you are covered since you have not handed over any money yet

He looks darker in that picture then most Peacock Emperors. I wonder if it’s the light. You’ve got a really good find! Congrats!

You’re absolutely right about trying to take pictures. That’s why I tried taking it outside. It doesn’t sound like my silver is quite as dark as yours. It has a dark streak of silver that starts just under the wing and follows the tail. It’s almost like a dorsal stripe. You can kind of see it in the picture. Overall it’s a very handsome piece.
February 23, 2008 at 12:28 am #631294Ooooh, congrats! What a find. 🙂
I went to antique stores today but couldn’t find anything. But when I got home my emerald curlie and peacock male were waiting! *love*!
My camera’s being annoying, but I’ll keep trying to post pictures.February 23, 2008 at 12:29 am #631295Dragon Master wrote:VampireBiscuits wrote:Dragon Master wrote:Very good it sounds like you are covered since you have not handed over any money yet

In this pic he looks BLACKHe does look very dark in the picture but I figured it was probably just the lighting. I’ve seen some pictures before where they looked unusually dark, BT’s Lost World on ebay has a picture of a peacock emperor that looks similar.

Thanks! And yeah, I’m assuming it was the lighting, but we’ll see when I meet up with the guy- probably tomorrow.

Honestly, I would love to see a production color in something that dark. That’s why I loved Mulberry Wine so much. I know we have Black Gold, but it’s not quite the same.

Ooooh, you’re making me want a silver male so bad! 🙂
February 23, 2008 at 1:11 am #631298Here they are!
The emerald is so much brighter in person! All the pictures I was able to find he looked so faded and washed out. But he’s fabulous!
February 23, 2008 at 2:20 am #631299Wow! There’s a lot of blue in that Peacock Male. Very nice. Congrats on your new dragons.
