This video shocked me the same time it made me laugh… I really hope no one’s Windstones are treated this way!

December 21, 2011 at 9:44 pm #866690I am so not shocked by this one bit. While all delivery services have their bad employees, FedEx is on my loathe list right now. They somehow broke a perfectly double boxed scratcher (insured) and it took me a month of fighting to get reimbursed. So much for the 5 – 7 days they list on the website.
At work we got a FedEx employee fired for doing something “naughty” in our parking lot. Dude, get a room. :stare:
FedEx also delivered my Flukers order to the wrong address. My condo is located in a business area, so I’m sure the secretary at the attorney or dentist office was like “WTF!?” when they received 1000 live crickets. LMAO! I did get eventually get them, and the little buggers were thankfully still alive. LOL
I’m so done with FedEx. 😛

Sadly, neither am I.
December 21, 2011 at 10:02 pm #866698I’ve seen boxes marked “FRAGILE – GLASS” all over in unmistakably bold print be thrown out of cargo holds in planes before while sitting on the tarmack. It’s almost like the ones that were marked fragile were treated worse than things that weren’t. Too bad I didn’t have a camera with handy video footage to have captured that a couple of years ago!

I’ve actually been told, by postal workers, not to mark things “Fragile” to avoid just this sort of thing. Delivery guy has a bad day, what does he take it out on?…
I’m sure it’s not everyone, and not even the majority who do this, but even one person can do a lot of damage throughout the work week!
December 21, 2011 at 11:32 pm #866715Just read Fedex is very upset over the video of how the driver treated the now broken computer . They said this will not be a happy day for the driver .
December 22, 2011 at 12:04 am #866719All my shipping woes have been courtesy of UPS. They have delivered my packages three times to someone else. Twice whoever got them placed them on my porch within the next day or so; I was lucky. The third time was a large box from Windstone, and thanks to tracking I was watching for it. The driver deposited a box two doors down and then drove right past my house. I went down the street, checked it out, and sure enough it was mine.
The only two Windstones I have received damaged were delivered by UPS, but they were definitely not packed properly. However, nearly every box I receive through UPS has at least one hole punched in the side, probably from their sorting machines. And when I get to the UPS store, it always costs more to ship than I expect, thanks to their “fuel surcharge.”
I switched to Fed Ex several months ago, and so far I would rate them 100% in every respect. I am sure every delivery service has its share of idiots like the guy who tossed the monitor over the fence though.
December 22, 2011 at 12:21 am #866721I safely received a package from my grandma, a cheesecake, via Fedex yesterday. The odd thing was the second package also left at the doorstep for someone with a totally different name and an address not even similar to mine. Had to call Fedex to come back and pick it up…
December 22, 2011 at 12:26 am #866724I love my regular UPS driver. He waits and has me sign for everything whether it needs it or not. The replacement driver (apparently they have shortened the routes because of the increase in volume) just rings and runs. But at least he rings. The fedex guy never rang the doorbell. If I hadn’t checked the tracking online I wouldn’t have known the box was at the door (and I checked the doorbell to be sure and it worked) :(. Anything sent USPS is sent to the PO Box because I don’t trust the mailperson to ring the doorbell either. (and sometimes things sent parcel post don’t have delivery confirmation added so at least at the post office it is safe until I get there.)
December 23, 2011 at 8:14 pm #867028Now a UPS driver has done it too . And he knew the camera was there and he flipped it off , then tossed the package on the porch . Man is the Christmas season that hard on these guys .
