My most wanted list: carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties
January 30, 2008 at 3:12 am #660225So I’ve finally come back after dealing with enough drama to last me a lifetime. The past few weeks have just been insane for me!! Between family issues and work issues, I’m still trying to figure out how come I haven’t been committed to an insane asylum! My family is driving me crazy with all the complaining that I never visit enough when they are the ones that are always too busy to even talk to me on the phone. My sister, I can’t even list the things wrong with her that I have to deal with since I live next door to her. I mean seriously…how in the world was it possible that out of all the apartments in this area, the only one to open up was right next door to her?? My whole point of moving out was to give myself some space from all of her nonsense!!! It seems like every two minutes she’s banging on the door wanting food because she doesn’t have any and refuses to go grocery shopping, or she wants me to buy her something. Arrrrg…
So this weekend I basically had a huge pow wow with all of them and hopefully things will change…cuz I desperately need the change!!
Now the only thing left to fix is work…they kicked me out for the week because I basically had a mental breakdown in the office…I can tell that this part will be the hardest to deal with. π πMy most wanted list: carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties
January 30, 2008 at 3:36 am #660226I’m sorry to hear things are going so ill for you right now. I hope things improve soon.
Don’t feel too bad about work, everything will work out. My mom once stood in the middle of the aisle between workstations and screamed. Her bosses weren’t too pleased, but simply said, not to do that again, thank you. She didn’t scream any words, just a loud verbal release of stress…but still.
Nice thing for me, at my work, it is so loud that I could do something like that, and no one would notice! LOL!
Anyway, as to your sister wanting you to feed her and buy her things, point out to her that she has her own apartment/kitchen/job…she’s an adult and you expect her to fend for herself unless she is completely down and out and without means or a place to live.
Or better yet, you could always turn the tables on her and for a week straight bang on her door demanding food and for her to buy you things! When she points out that you could go to the store, etc…whine and say how you don’t wanna go to the store…then ask her if she’ll go.
LOL! I’m evil, I kill me.
Anyway, mimic her behavior exactly, give as good as you get. If she isn’t smart enough to get the message, keep at it until she does. No one needs that kind of crap, and she knows better, if she’s too lazy or cheap to buy her own food, who says she’s entitled to yours? She’s not, and don’t let her try to guilt trip you either.
When she comes over asking for food, tell her you don’t have any, even if you do. Then wait 10 minutes, and then go bang on her door and demand food from her. Be just as much of a pest as she is being to you…she should get tired of it just as you have and with any luck you will have some peace within a few days.
Good luck, hang in there and take care.
