I got a bunch on ebay…Amethyst 1000 pcs sizes 1mm to 5 mm for I think around 5 bucks…I also got a bunch from the same seller of blue Topaz, same amount and similar size range. The blue Topaz are nicer than the Amethyst, but they are still all very nice for only around 10 bucks. 😀 They also had black onyz and pink stones too. I also got a bunch of flatback glass oval stones from another seller and those are great too! (Good for flat spots on sculpts without gem areas. Like Anubis.)
I got mine in the mail today…I had a couple to send out. Been so busy at work, and had to get the “extras” in there too! 😕 Mine is decidedly going out of the country too, so it will be around a week or so before she gts to where she is going…Sorry to my recipient. 🙁 But, I think she will be what you wanted! 😉
Here she is! Bayoudragon asked for a unicorn or griffin in natural colors. After finding a neat picture of a foal while searching around for horse colors that were brown (I wanted a break from doing dapple greys and to break in my brown pastels), I decided on a Sorrel Tobiano coloration. I added a bunch of natural emeralds and tsavorite garnets to give her some sparkle (and I heard Bayoudragon is a rockhound from that forum member favorites thread 😳 ). She’s done mostly in pastels with a little paint.
I’m glad you like her Bayoudragon. She was a pleasure to do. 🙂
In regards to stones, I just get little stones when I go to the yearly rock and mineral show near me and from ebay (the little ones I have better luck finding on ebay). I try to buy natural ones when I can (just a preference, but it can be hard – or expensive for certain stones, or availability when you want them). Simulated diamonds are much easier on the wallet than the real thing though :wink:.

When it rains, it pours! So many to address individually, but I want to congrats those who got their pieces and say what lovely paint jobs to the painters. I’ve enjoyed each and every one of them. And all the little extras like the food, COA, and cards are nice additions. And finally, that’s such a neat idea with the glow in the dark shell interior. 😀

I forgot to say I got candy with my swap! I got a few different types of M&M packages (which I believe my brother promptly stole because I can’t find them…) I love M&M’s!

If I’d known your brother would be taking your M&Ms Leigha, I would have put your name on the packages with searing neon letters–not that would stop him! Would a mousetrap have helped 😆 Looks like he wants everything you have–your dragons, candy..dragon in you should fry him!
Yes, this is enjoyable seeing all the pyo pieces and the different ideas everyone has! Unbelievable paint jobs on some of these! Congrads to everyone–[as I sit, anxiously awaiting my swap]. 🙂
Oh! The purple and Sorrel Tobiano unicorns! Purple is my favorite color, and I also love those natural colors! It is hard to see the details on the kirin though-I can see a little bit, and I must say that he looks great!! I am so excited to see all of these pieces!!

[sigh] A ho-hum day! Home–furlough day–and straightening up a bit. I decide to sit down and put my feet up a spell when I hears a ‘thump’ outside my door. Hmmmmmmmm, sounds like a package——a package! 😮 Ooooooooooooooooo, I rush to the window and see a white truck–make out the lettering–‘FedEx’ FedEx! I was contacted thru drag0n if I minded my pyo swap piece be sent via FedEx–oh yes, yes, yes! I eye the package….a bit long….wonder what it could be……but…it wasn’t yet to be 🙁 😥 It was some bird items and food I recently ordered [sigh] A ho-hum day. At least my birdies will be well fed. But tomorrow, tomorrow is another day—yes another day! 🙁 🙄
