So is there only one more we haven’t seen? Everything I’ve seen is beautiful! This was a great swap! 😀
October 2, 2009 at 8:47 am #782248It didn’t get here in today’s mail either. When did you send it, mmloda?
October 2, 2009 at 3:09 pm #782249When some people dropped out of the swap mmloda was kind enough to send to you, GB, because she actually asked to ship within the US preferably. Unfortunately, as people dropped out, things got a little mixed around. I know she shipped it well within the time frame that was requested for the swap. I’m not too familiar with customs, but I’m pretty sure they told her it could take a few weeks.

October 2, 2009 at 7:55 pm #782251Gorgeous kirin! I love that celestail look on him!! GB, I hope yours gets here soon. 🙂
October 2, 2009 at 10:03 pm #782252wow. that kirin really is amazing! what an interesting idea.
so far i think this swap has been an awesome one.
October 5, 2009 at 5:17 am #782253Sorry, drag0n – I didn’t mean to sound like I was complaining. I just know mmloda put a lot of effort into the PYO, like everybody else did into theirs, and I’d hate for it to get lost along the way. I was just a bit worried after remembering a box did never make it to me.

I’ll have to check when I get home the exact date, I really hope he makes it there, there was no option to put insurance on him when I shipped him out which really sucks… 🙄
As soon as I get home from work today I will let you know the exact date I shipped him out on… 🙂Marzena
October 5, 2009 at 10:32 pm #782255Hm, this is a lot like what happened to me last swap. It took forever for my piece to arrive at its destination and I thought it was lost for awhile. It did eventually appear though.
One question – did you send it air mail? I’m asking because the cheapest overseas option (and the one that doesn’t offer any insurance) will ship it on a boat, and it could take a month or two to arrive. They don’t offer insurance because it takes so long (or that was what I’ve been told anyway). Just curious. Things may be quite different in Canada.
October 6, 2009 at 12:52 am #782256GB I shipped him out on August 8th, 2009, but unfortunatly I shipped him via ground services because the air mail was really $$$… 😳 I really hope he gets to you soon, so I guess its been a bit over a month now since I shipped him out and I am not sure how long it takes 😕

October 6, 2009 at 5:20 am #782257Ok…Ground to GB may take as long as 2 months.
I won a Maiasaur from someone in Germany. No, it wasn’t Ski. LOL But, it was sent ground for $49. Seemed steep, but I got a sweet price on the Dino, and fell in love with him on Ebay. (And he was mint with his styrofoam box) 😕 They shipped him ground and it took 7 weeks and a couple days. They warned me that it would take that long, but I said to go ahead and send it ground. They wanted $79 for faster delivery. 😮
So, I am hoping it will get there faster, but don’t really get scared until it’s been that long is the best advice I can give. I know it is frustrating, but hang in there! 😉October 6, 2009 at 5:46 am #782258I sent Amphitrite to Dragon87 by “ground mail” too – I’ve found the double price of air mail isn’t worthwhile since both A and B post take anywhere from one to three weeks to reach their overseas destination. But that’s from Europe to America; if it can take up to two months vice versa I’ll sit out the next couple of days – on October 8 it’ll be two months since he was shipped – in patience and hope the PYO makes it all right.
Sorry for the complications, mmloda. I really appreciate you being willing to ship to me. 😳October 6, 2009 at 1:58 pm #782259Ohh no worries, I just hope he gets to you, I always get really nervous when I ship and there is no option for tracking.. 🙄
I really hope he gets there by the 8th, if not I can always try to call Canada Post and see what they say eventho there was no tracking on the package… 🙂

October 6, 2009 at 11:48 pm #782260I’ve tried this before they just told me, “No tracking, no luck. Even we don’t know where it is because non-tracked packages are not scanned or anything”. *mutter mutter*
I hope it gets to GB soon! It’s sure taking a long time!

October 16, 2009 at 5:18 am #782261THANK YOU, MARZENA!
My little “Lagoon” dragon finally arrived safe and sound yesterday. Thank you so much; he goes wonderfully with my collection of other swap pieces.
It was too dark to take decent pictures, but he’s a rich deep blue with lavender and green sheens and black accents. Very pretty. Thank you thank you thank you. 🙂 -
