You should let me know which store!! I’m in SJ all the time and would LOVE to meet you one day.
Is $9 the starting wage now? I make a bit more but I’m also on the graveyard shift and TRUST me working for my boss the store has to be PERFECT every night. Jerry was a Long’s Employee for like 38 years and now he had to start all over with CVS. He is a GREAT guy though just expects way too much out of his employees. My store is open 24 hours and with 2 employees he expects the work that it would take 4 to complete. If we where closed and working that would be fine but not with helping the customers
I don’t know if $9 is the average starting wage, I ended at Mervyns making 8.90, so I bumped it to $9 and that’s what I’ve been putting on all the applications that ask you what you’d like to be making (I’d really like to be making millions and millions…but I don’t think they were looking for that type of answer!)
We had a couple supervisors who were perfectionists at Mervyns “That table isn’t board folded!” I sucked at board folding…so much so that they never asked me to do it, even if I was the only one not busy lol “just go fold the pants, that’s easier” 😛 oooooooooooooooooooh I loved it when I got to open our fedex box of new jewelry and I got to organize the glass cases and put all the new pretties in the case and make it all neat! My favorite job! *sigh* I miss that…
