I won the Jade coiled on ebay and I just paid for it tonight. I really hate these big estate dealers.
I PM’d the seller and asked that they look at the packing tutorial…of course after 3 days and generic email replies, I called the seller.
He has 3 or 4 accounts with ebay and he didn’t even know what I had won, would not ship UPS, only USPS and I told him that I was not going to pay for the item unless it was double boxed and had insurance.
He said, “we ship crystal all the time…this is JUST a little dragon…..”
UGGGGHHHHHH, you know if the buyer offers to pay for extra shipping and handling, then why can’t they JUST DO IT!
We will see if the coiled comes in one piece….
I hate dealing with sellers like this…
Most of the sellers are more than ready to accomodate..especially if you are willing to pay…this guy just made me mad!
Any one else have this problem?
August 22, 2007 at 2:06 am #610910This is why I hesitate to buy from ebay. I’d rather deal with Windstone, forum dealers or forum members.
I feel your frustration!
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I host the feedback lists, which are maintained by drag0nfeathers.

I’m the exact same way. You can never tell if an ebay seller has the knowledge when it comes to packing and shipping those things a smart and safe way.
I’ll cross my fingers that it gets to you okay!

You should send him the link to the packing tutorial. There are a few small items on there that have been destroyed as much as the bigger items.
August 22, 2007 at 3:38 am #610913If you want them to do something like double boxing, then you should really ask before you bid. Not only would you see that he had poor communication and he only shipped UPS, but you would get the ok for the double boxing. Lots of sellers dont double box little things like that. I just had a mother peg arive fine and she was not double boxed. I just think you should cover your bases instead of getting upset and making demands and threats over something you may have prevented. Threatening not to pay? Thats not right.
August 22, 2007 at 4:26 am #610914I hope he gets to you in one piece
August 22, 2007 at 4:27 am #610915I actually don’t have anything helpful to contribute about your issue with the seller… but I hope it works out for you & it gets to you intact.

Any one else have this problem?Well thats just stupid isn’t it, why can’t they just do what people ask of them. Its not as though its going to go to far out of his way to double box it! 😥
August 22, 2007 at 2:52 pm #610917The seller isn’t being very helpful, but Ski made a good point. It’s safer to cover your bases first.
August 22, 2007 at 5:26 pm #610918I really would have paid the guy, I have never NOT paid for an item that I won…I should have asked about shipping, but usually it isn’t a big deal…
ohhh well, if it breaks, then it goes back! I was just upset at the time.
