No, I cant take one (they are spoken for anyway). I grew up with both big and small dogs, but in my adult years, Ive found I prefer large breeds.
Bella and her babies are pure bred (sorry, spelling) Shi- Tzus.
More pix will come when I get back to Sharon’s and she sets up a day to do it. I know she wants it soon and often enough cause they grow so fast, but it will be sometime in January and my busy season is coming up with the winter horse show series. But there will definitely be more photos and you guys will be the first to see them- even before Sharon & she owns them! She hasnt even seen these yet! 😆
Im glad youre enjoying the thread 😀 When more pix come, I’ll update the title of the thread and youll know just by looking at the topics in the forum.
December 30, 2007 at 11:40 pm #650029These were taken by my friend and just emailed to me. They are 2 days old here, and today, they are nine inches long. They are keeping my favorite one which is the one with the white triangle on her back and has the most white around her neck. In the 1st photo, she is laying on the bottom, perpendicular to her sisters who are nose to tail. They have named her (for short as the whole name is too long), Elsie.
Last born on left and first live born on right
The first live born, she is mainly all brown, and like her sisters, has white feet and a white tipped tail
MORE PHOTOS TO COME SOON! Keep checking title of the thread for update # to change. Sharon wants me to come back over to take photos for the one week old shots. She also commissioned me to make a baby book for each puppy, so that when they go to their new owners, they will have a progressive photo book of their new family member. Sweet thought and Im happy to do it.

January 1, 2008 at 1:32 am #650036More photos of the pups (and her other dog Dozer who is a Lab/AmStaff mix- I adore him!) that Colin took. They only have a very basic camera and they dont touch up their photos because they dont know how. Ive touched them up as best I could but the original pix are still grainy. When I do my photos with my camera, they should be much more clear. But you still get the idea and can see the cuteness!
This is Dozer who loves the new puppies but is afraid of them!
This is Elsie, the one I consider pick of the litter and my favorite. They believe they are keeping her. She came out breach (2nd live pup born) but once she was stimulated, dang if she didnt know just where to go and actually got Bella mama lactating so that her slightly older brown sister (who was having trouble getting milk) could get a belly full. Needless to say, because of her natural instincts and power, she is the largest of the 3 pups thus far. And the sweetest and spunkiest. Doesnt cry when you take her from mama, and falls asleep on your wrist. I really REALLY hope they keep her. If I could take a puppy, I would take her.
This was the second puppy born, the first live puppy. Mostly brown and whoa, what a mouth she has! Very, very whiny when taken away from mom (see last photo of her in the middle). The only pup that wasnt breach but she is very pretty. I do believe she will be a vocal dog but will have good health. She is a quick learner once she is taught something, even this young.
OK, all together now… “AWWWW”! Elsie my fave is on the left, the brown, obviously vocal one is yapping in the middle and the last born who became the under dog as she almost didnt make it but is now thriving, is on the right.
MORE PHOTOS TO COME, I PROMISE! Sharon wanted me to thank you all for sharing in her happiness even though she doesnt know any of you. You guys know how it is when youre the mama- be it of a new Windstone, new baby or new animal. You just want to yell it from the roof tops and share the joy with everyone you know- or dont know! So, her great appreciation is here for your support and loving comments.

January 1, 2008 at 7:16 pm #650039Oooh, now I want one. *Grabby Hands*
January 1, 2008 at 7:44 pm #650040Those pups are adorable! My folks have a shi-tzu and I remember him when he was small. He is about 1.5 years old now. From my understanding Shi-tzus don’t really settle down till they are at least a year old. which was evident with Nicky as he earned the nickname troublemaker early on.
So, those little ones should end up being very spunky. While hiding somewhere in my head I'm on the lookout for white oriental dragons! Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!
