It looks like all you’ve described all of the relevant info clearly and comprehensively! Its good that you described the incident with John in detail. It shows problems that HR should definitely be concerned with.
I hope your further discussions with HR are productive. Let us know what happens, and if there’s anything else that we can help give you feedback on.
I too think your write up is very professional. You have to include all of the details. A short summary isn’t nearly as effective. Good Luck!
Once again, thank you all! I talked to the HR rep yesterday and she said she needed a bit more time to get all the facts together from the various sides, and that she would get back to me later this week.
I’ll keep you posted!Well, yesterday (a week after I sent my statement in) I got a call from HR saying that she had been in meetings all last week, and still needed more time to “gather all the information from all sides” and that she had spoken with my DM and they were “working on it”. Which probably means that she just got around to it yesterday….I’m a little miffed that it has taken so long, but the fact that she’s keeping in touch with me is a relatively good sign.
I also got a call from my DM yesterday. He said that he had been talking with HR, had gotten a copy of my statement, and was looking into things as well. He seemed rather more focused on the incident with John than anything else, and said that my statement contained a lot of “he said she said”…..
I have my reservations about the DM (it’s his ass if Zack is a horrible manager because he promoted Zack, and I think he’ll cover himself as much as possible) But at least the communication is forthcoming so all I can do now is sit tight and see what happens….
Oh and John also brought up the whole issue of the glass trash can last night, really pushing the issue. Kyle yelled at him for it, and will further investigate the situation, but if it happens again I’m going to have to threaten legal action…. I WILL NOT be harrassed about my disability again!
