You caould always send him to purple and get it patched up and repinted 😀
If he had cost less, and some of the bits weren’t so tiny, I’d consider something like that.
Speaking of which… I got my cotton candy dragon today from purple. I’ll post pics in the collection thread. Probably tomorrow. As much as I love it, I just don’t feel like celebrating right now.
June 4, 2007 at 3:49 pm #584534i feel sick too just looking at it. 🙁
June 4, 2007 at 3:55 pm #584535Oh no! A rare and beautiful green emperor…
I hate to see him get repainted. These guys are rare.
Depending on the outcome of your depute, if you get to keep the pieces, would you consider sending them to me? I might be able to fix him. I’ve gotten pretty good at repairing and re-carving gypsum. It would just take a while…

June 4, 2007 at 4:03 pm #584537That’s so sad. What an unfortunate thing to happen.
June 4, 2007 at 4:11 pm #584538I’m so sorry! That’s just awful. He was so beautiful too. People that pack like that just make me angry. 👿
June 4, 2007 at 4:12 pm #584539Now that’s tempting, Nam. I’ll see what happens. I could use the money back, and he did write in the auction that he’d want it returned. I’m torn.
I’m gonna email him and ask if he really needs the pieces back. I understand wanting the item back if there’s slight damage, or if the person just doesn’t like it. You could try to sell it again if that were the case. But why bother if there’s pics and you’re just gonna chuck it?June 4, 2007 at 4:36 pm #584540Maebnus3 wrote:Now that’s tempting, Nam. I’d try to get him/her to let you keep it- unless you’re good at repairs, the pieces are worth nothing. 🙁 But if you must return them for your money back, do so.

My art: featherdust.comJune 4, 2007 at 4:40 pm #584541That is so sad. I am glad I didn’t have money when he ended. I hope the seller does something about it. I would hate to see it go into the trash. I would love to see someone restore it to its original color.

I’m trying. I emailed him and asked what he needed. I even asked if he’d consider a mostly-full refund if I kept the pieces (tho it’s really not my nature to hope that people will be nice). If he’s willing, depending on the amount, I’d let you try to fix him. I just know I couldn’t. If it takes more than superglue and some toothpicks for precision targeting, it’s not for me. It really is a shame to see a beautiful old green emp get tossed, so I hope he’s willing to deal.
I think I succeeded at not being a b^*%# but still getting my point across. I HATE the character limit that eBay imposes!! You should be able to say everything you need to & still go through their system.
June 4, 2007 at 5:02 pm #584544Yeah, thats the one I screwed up on by bidding instead of doing the BIN. I don’t think they are a forum member. That just makes me mad and sad. Why didn’t the seller listen to you! I hope you get your money back. Thats a lot to pay for shards. If they do let you keep it and refund your money, hopefuly he can be decently repaired! 😀

He was in like, 5 or 6 threads. I remember him being talked about. I just have no idea who else was bidding. Lucky themJune 4, 2007 at 5:18 pm #584546wolflodge100 wrote:Yeah, thats the one I screwed up on by bidding instead of doing the BIN. I don’t think they are a forum member. Well, I suppose it was fate you didn’t use the BIN, huh? 😉 I have luck. Often. And almost always with important or expensive things.
I’m trying not to let myself get angry again. I’m afraid I’ll get nasty then. Don’t want to do that in case he’s a lurker here (never know). Tho he may be a jerk when he writes back, who knows.
He gave me positive feedback before he even shipped. 😕 I don’t give FB unless I have the item in hand, and I don’t understand why some sellers don’t wait until after the buyer posts in case there’s a problem.June 4, 2007 at 5:38 pm #584547Thats horrible. I am soooo sorry. Def get a refund.
