I don’t know how many artichokes I have burnt to a crisp! And the SMELL!! Oh my, those things smell awful when they are burnt!! And the smell lingers for days!!! I learned that if you put some water in the pot and about a cup of vinegar and bring it to a boil and then (carefully!) take it off the heat and add some baking soda to it, it will froth up for a bit, keep adding the soda to it, and then let it sit for a bit, it will loosen up the burnt bits, then scrub hard for a little bit and then repeat as often as necessary, you can save your pan. After all the food I have burnt because I have forgotten it, I know this works! I have even gone to sleep with the stove on and the smell in the morning was atrocious! Yuck! :spank: 😮

I almost did this once with a gas stove. I wasn’t familar with gas had always had electric and the bottom drawer holds pots and pans. The bottom of a gas stove is the broiler. The microwave bacon rack went up in FLAMES

When I make tea I usually have to boil two pots because I forget about the first pot and the water boils out lol
