How soon after creating a directory to upload pictures and uploading them are they available to be seen on the site?

Are you asking about gallery pics? If so, it usually only takes a little while. I uploaded two today and they are both already approved in the gallery. You may have to wait a day or so because they want to approve only 4 pics a day so everyone gets a chance on the front page.
June 18, 2007 at 6:49 pm #590423O.K., I see. I uploaded eight pictures four of each item so that will mean likely two days? I have my first PYO’s up and I am nervous about showing them. I didn’t have a gallery of my own until just now either. Does that effect how quickly they get up? Thank you guys for the input.
June 18, 2007 at 6:55 pm #590424Also, how do you find individual photo albums since not all of them appear to be showing at any given time?

If you click on the PYO gallery, there are tabs at the bottom with pages to choose from. Looks like there are currently five pages of folks with galleries there.
Hope that helps! 😀
June 18, 2007 at 7:09 pm #590426Hmmm… maybe I am not understanding because I thought I read at the top that there were 121 Galleries. Five pages only held about 56 galleries. O.K., am I confused again?

Looks like there are 121 albums, but some people have more than one album because they sort out the different kinds of PYOs. 🙂
June 18, 2007 at 7:21 pm #590428I get it now! Thanks for helping. I really appreciate it! Now I just have to be patient and wait to see MY gallery! Mwa ha ha ha!
Will it be an …evil petting zoo?

You photos are pending approval, I see them (they’re very pretty!!)! I’ve already approved four photos for today so they will probably show up tomorrow. I try to only approve four (sometimes more if it is of the same PYO, only different angles) per day so everyone has a day in the limelight on the front page. 🙂
I moved this to the community since Melody doesn’t do things like approve photos. That’s my job. 🙂

My art: featherdust.comJune 18, 2007 at 7:42 pm #590430Sorry for being a computer nincompoop, but how do you go about creating an album? I’ve tried to create one for my one-and-only PYO, but I keep getting error messages when I try to upload an image from Photobucket; the originals on my computer it says are too big (I don’t have a clue how to shrink them, and don’t have Photoshop or anything).

The photobucket version may be too large as well.
You can shrink them in MS Paint (go to Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint) or you could send it to another forum member- we’re glad to help you! 🙂

June 18, 2007 at 8:51 pm #590433Also if I can assist on the photo resizing I would be happy to as well.
June 18, 2007 at 10:50 pm #590434AnonymousIrfanview is a very quick and simple program that will open any image format, and you can crop, rotate, resize, save to any format.. it’s very very small and great for quick and dirty picture work.
However, the author decided to start bundling it with Google Desktop, so just check off NO to Google Desktop when you install it.
